At the reception, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien welcomed the EUABC delegation and affirmed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade always appreciates the role of EU-ABC and the European business community as key partners of Vietnam in economic, trade and investment cooperation, especially in the context that the two sides are promoting the implementation of the Vietnam - EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), promoting green transformation and digital transformation.

The Minister said that the Vietnamese Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade are determined to maintain macroeconomic stability, continue to improve the investment and business environment, and perfect institutions towards transparency, stability, and compliance with international commitments; at the same time, they welcome and encourage European enterprises to continue expanding their long-term investment, production, and business activities in Vietnam.

In an open and constructive atmosphere, the two sides discussed a number of cooperation orientations in the coming time, focusing on maintaining bilateral trade growth momentum; expanding high-quality investment projects; strengthening supply chain linkages; promoting cooperation in areas related to sustainable development, green transformation and digital transformation; and continuing to improve mechanisms and policies to further facilitate the operations of businesses on both sides.


Representatives of EU-ABC and EuroCham Vietnam highly appreciated the efforts of the Vietnamese Government in improving the business environment, implementing integration commitments, as well as the leading role of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in industrial, trade and energy cooperation issues. The EU-ABC affirmed that the European business community considers Vietnam an important destination in the development strategy in the region and wishes to continue to strengthen policy dialogue with relevant Vietnamese agencies.

At the end of the working session, the two sides agreed to continue to maintain regular exchange and dialogue channels at both leadership and technical levels, thereby promptly sharing information, removing obstacles and promoting cooperation, investment and trade opportunities between Vietnam and the European Union to become increasingly substantive, effective and sustainable.
