This is the second round of support, nearly two months ago when Vingroup announced a support of VND500 billion for localities affected by storm Bualoi (storm No. 10), bringing Vingroup's total contribution to VND1,000 billion.

Faced with the severe damage caused by floods to the people of the Central region, Vingroup Corporation decided to activate the second support package, maintaining the criteria of "Timely - Right target - Transparent" as the first phase. It is expected that the new 500 billion package will be allocated to support the damaged people in Dak Lak with 200 billion VND, Khanh Hoa with 100 billion VND, Gia Lai with 100 billion VND and Lam Dong with 100 billion VND.

The 500 billion VND package of the second phase will continue to focus on the groups of people who suffer the most direct and serious damage. The specific support levels are as follows:

Families with deceased or missing people: support amount is 100 million VND/deceased or missing person;

Families whose houses were completely collapsed: support amount is 60 million VND/household ;

Families whose houses are damaged by 50% or more and are people with meritorious services to the revolution; poor/near-poor households; families with especially difficult circumstances (including: no income, single parents raising young children, lonely elderly people, families with seriously ill members, orphans under 16 years old, families with members infected with Agent Orange, families with disabled members): the support amount is 20 million VND/household .

Thien Tam Fund established rapid response teams of Vingroup officers and employees to go to the scene, coordinate with the Fatherland Front of the provinces to quickly approach the areas, ensuring support reaches the right subjects in the shortest time.

In addition to providing emergency support to affected families, Thien Tam Fund will also support the reconstruction of school facilities to quickly stabilize operations and ensure a safe learning environment for students... At the same time, consider supporting the repair of essential civil works (bridges, roads, clean water...) that have been severely damaged in difficult and mountainous areas without funding.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup, shared: "Looking at the collapsed roofs and the losses of people after natural disasters, we understand that our responsibility is not only to provide material support but also to give people confidence to stand up. With a consistent spirit - no Vingroup person stands outside the pain of their compatriots - we are implementing the second round of support with the desire to contribute to helping the Central region get up as soon as possible. This is also a call for the business community and the whole society to join hands so that no one is left behind in the disaster."
