According to Mr. Giang, behind the Son Long Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, there is a hill. Due to prolonged heavy rain, rocks and soil have repeatedly slid down.
The landslide on the morning of November 18th caused 50 cubic meters of rock and soil to collapse on a two-story building with 10 rooms. Among them were five boarding rooms for students and five office rooms for teachers.
“The landslide happened when students were already in class, so no one was injured. This location is at risk of further landslides, so we have arranged for people to monitor and warn students not to go near it,” Mr. Giang informed.
