Domestic pepper prices remain stable in key regions

Domestic pepper prices today, November 20, 2025, continue to remain stable. In Dak Lak, pepper prices are purchased at 146,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. In Chu Se (Gia Lai), pepper prices are at 145,000 VND/kg. Similarly, Dak Nong recorded pepper prices at 146,500 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, Ba Ria - Vung Tau continues to maintain pepper prices at 145,000 VND/kg. Binh Phuoc is also trading pepper prices at the same level and has not fluctuated compared to the previous session.

World pepper prices increased slightly in Indonesia

According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), the international market recorded a small increase in some varieties. The price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper reached 7,099 USD/ton, up 0.17%. The price of Muntok white pepper reached 9,666 USD/ton, up 0.18%.

In Brazil, the price of ASTA 570 black pepper was at USD 6,175/ton. Malaysia kept the price of ASTA black pepper stable at USD 9,200/ton and ASTA white pepper at USD 12,300/ton. The slight increase in some markets reflects the overall development of the global pepper industry.

Vietnamese pepper prices continue to trade at high and stable levels. The price of 500g/l black pepper remains at 6,400 USD/ton, while the 550g/l variety reaches 6,600 USD/ton. Today, Vietnamese white pepper prices remain at 9,050 USD/ton.

Pepper exports increase sharply, surpassing the 2024 mark

According to statistics from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in just the first 15 days of November 2025, Vietnam exported 8,244 tons of pepper worth 52.6 million USD. Simexco Dak Lak led with 786 tons, followed by Olam, Haprosimex JSC, Phuc Sinh and Nedspice Vietnam. Stable demand from major markets helped the total pepper turnover by mid-November reach 1.45 billion USD, surpassing the 1.3 billion USD mark for the whole year of 2024.

The US is the largest market with 22.9% of output, equivalent to 1,888 tonnes. The UAE is second with 1,480 tonnes and China with 495 tonnes.

On the other hand, Vietnam imported 804 tons of pepper in the first 15 days of November, worth 5.1 million USD. Haprosimex JSC and Gia Vi Viet Nam were the two largest importers. Cambodia and Brazil continued to be the two main suppliers, helping domestic enterprises have more raw materials for processing and re-export.
