Bringing An Giang OCOP products far and wide

An Giang strives to implement many solutions to support businesses and OCOP entities to connect with partners so that products "born from the village" can reach potential markets at home and abroad.

Enhance connectivity

Identifying that connecting partners is an important factor in helping OCOP products reach potential markets, the Provincial People's Committee, together with sectors and localities, supports businesses and entities to promote and introduce products to customers everywhere. According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc, by September 2025, the whole province has 582 OCOP-standard products from 325 participating entities, including 14 5-star OCOP products. "All levels and sectors in the province promote trade promotion activities, bringing OCOP products to large supermarket systems such as Co.opmart, Big C, Lotte, WinMart, Bach Hoa Xanh... An Giang OCOP products are also present on reputable e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Shopee, Sendo... The province has established many points to introduce and promote OCOP products in localities nationwide, creating an impression for customers," Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc informed.

An Giang also organizes events to promote and introduce OCOP products to partners and customers. Notably, the forum connecting OCOP products in the Mekong Delta region in 2025 was held in Long Xuyen ward. With a scale of 226 booths displaying about 5,400 OCOP products, specialties of provinces and cities across the country, the event became a highlight, helping An Giang's "village-born" products to position themselves on the OCOP "map" of the whole country.

In addition, the province organizes many activities such as fairs and exhibitions of regional specialties in 2025 in Phu Quoc special zone; tourism and culinary festivals combined with trade promotion fairs, OCOP products - Rach Gia, An Giang in 2025... The activities contribute to introducing products that are the crystallization of culture, tradition and dedication of many generations of An Giang people to partners and customers.

Mr. Ta Minh Son - Director of Tu Son Supermarket, Chau Doc Ward commented: "Participating in events and fairs creates conditions for us to promote and connect with potential partners to expand the market for OCOP products. In recent times, Tu Son Supermarket has connected with many OCOP entities inside and outside the province and achieved positive results. If the authorities and sectors create favorable conditions, we will continue to target new markets, possibly reaching provinces bordering An Giang such as Takeo and Kandal of the Kingdom of Cambodia".

E-commerce development

Along with promoting and connecting products directly, An Giang is interested in developing e-commerce for OCOP products. According to Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Duy Linh Thao, in the digital economy era, if OCOP products only stop at fairs or supermarket systems, it will be difficult to reach far. “OCOP products are not only goods but also the story and pride of An Giang people. Putting An Giang OCOP products on a digital platform not only helps expand the market but also increases brand value, increases transparency, traceability, and effectively promotes products. Along with that, it helps OCOP subjects keep up with consumer trends, especially the online shopping needs of young people today. Applying e-commerce also helps subjects save on promotion costs as well as connect with customers everywhere,” Ms. Nguyen Duy Linh Thao analyzed.

To take advantage of the fertile land of e-commerce, the Provincial People's Committee has deployed Model 22 on tourism development, associated with regional specialties, supporting people in applying population data, electronic identification and authentication in developing household economy and digital economy in the whole province. "This is a commitment to bring OCOP products, typical rural industrial products and An Giang tourism services to have a strong presence on e-commerce platforms, digital tourism platforms, connecting nationally and internationally. Model 22 is not only associated with product development but also creates connections between agriculture, industry and trade, tourism, contributing to building a sustainable digital economic ecosystem for the province in the future," said Ms. Nguyen Duy Linh Thao.

Business support

Participating in promoting OCOP products on the Numbala trading platform, Ms. Vo Nguyen Hong Phuc - representative of Hung Diem Bird's Nest Company, Rach Gia ward informed: "As a business that directly produces and distributes products to consumers, we want to participate in e-commerce platforms that promote product quality and transparency. Previously, we participated in e-commerce platforms such as TikTok, Shopee and now Numbala. We hope that through e-commerce platforms, customers everywhere will know about Hung Diem bird's nest products and support them more actively."

To continue promoting OCOP products on digital platforms, Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc suggested that the Department of Industry and Trade coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Tourism, the Department of Agriculture and Environment and GTEL Company to speed up the implementation of model 22 across the province. At the same time, perfect the mechanism and policies to support and encourage enterprises, cooperatives and OCOP product owners to participate in e-commerce.

“The province will focus on developing digital infrastructure, investing heavily in telecommunications, rural internet, digital payment systems, and smart logistics. In addition, digital capacity will be enhanced through training and coaching in online sales skills, digital marketing, and customer data management for businesses and product owners. In addition, it is necessary to build brands and trace the origin of each OCOP product. When these tasks are carried out, the An Giang OCOP product brand will reach potential markets at home and abroad,” Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc emphasized.
