In An Giang , the inspection sector has constantly innovated and developed comprehensively, making an important contribution to state management, resolving complaints and denunciations, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of citizens. Each stage of the province's development has marked the silent but persistent contribution of the inspection force - the "gatekeepers of integrity" of the public authority.
The year 2025 marks a major turning point when the administrative system is reorganized, the newly formed An Giang province has a large management area, including border areas, islands and many special areas. The provincial inspectorate is consolidated, the organization and tasks are unified, the staff size is increased from more than 40 to more than 200 civil servants and inspectors.
This is both an opportunity and a big challenge for the Provincial Inspectorate, which must simultaneously deal with three issues: Reorganizing the apparatus, stabilizing personnel, and resolving the backlog of work. Facilities are still scattered across many headquarters, equipment is limited, while the tasks of inspection, handling complaints and denunciations, and preventing and combating corruption and negativity cannot be allowed to stagnate.
Faced with that reality, the Provincial Inspectorate chose a proactive and creative approach. The unit focused on propaganda, creating internal consensus; ensuring the regime and benefits for civil servants and inspectors; and at the same time reviewing, compiling statistics, and rearranging public assets for effective use. The work of perfecting the organization was carried out in conjunction with the issuance of new working regulations, clear assignment, and tightening discipline and administrative order.
The spirit of “integrity - discipline - responsibility” is thoroughly instilled in each officer and inspector, creating a united strength, helping the agency quickly stabilize and operate effectively in the first months after the merger. With the characteristics of a large area, the Provincial Inspectorate identified the key task as improving the quality of inspection, receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations, and preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
Administrative, thematic, and surprise inspections are organized according to plan, leaving no “gaps” in management. The sector focuses on sensitive areas that are prone to negative impacts such as public investment, land, finance, budget, public asset management, and environmental protection. Each inspection conclusion clearly points out violations and recommends solutions to correct and prevent recurrence, contributing to improving the effectiveness of state management.
In the work of receiving citizens, the Provincial Inspectorate strictly implemented the schedule of regular and unscheduled citizen receptions. Leaders directly had dialogues and promptly resolved many complicated and prolonged cases, thereby strengthening people's trust in the government. Inspection teams on responsibility in implementing the law on receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations were maintained regularly, both guiding the grassroots and removing obstacles.
The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been implemented synchronously, from declaring assets and income to enhancing publicity and transparency in public service activities. Inspections of the responsibilities of heads of agencies and units in implementing regulations on preventing and combating corruption have been strictly maintained, contributing to early and remote prevention.
Entering the digital transformation period, the Provincial Inspectorate identified technology as an important driving force to modernize management activities. The Steering Committee on Science , Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation was established; the electronic one-stop system for receiving and returning administrative procedure results was put into operation to help shorten time, reduce costs, and improve transparency.
The digitization of records, inspection data, complaints and denunciations is being implemented. This is the foundation to improve productivity, work quality, and serve people and businesses more quickly and conveniently.
Identifying the human factor as the key, the Provincial Inspectorate focuses on training and fostering a team of inspectors who are both red and professional. Civil servants and inspectors are given the opportunity to study and improve their theoretical and professional qualifications, information technology application skills, and at the same time practice public service ethics and professional qualities.
The Provincial Inspectorate determined: “Without integrity, there is no true inspection.” Each officer must always keep himself clean, impartial, and objective, not letting personal interests dominate. When officers maintain integrity, the collective will be strong, and the industry will be able to fulfill its assigned responsibilities.
An Giang is a land rich in revolutionary tradition, a "fence" on the southwestern border of the Fatherland, so the inspection work is not only to protect the law but also to contribute to consolidating political stability, maintaining people's trust, ensuring security and order. In the new period, the Provincial Inspectorate aims to continue to improve the quality and efficiency of operations, promote administrative reform, apply digital technology, strengthen dialogue and reconciliation, limit prolonged complaints, and strive to build an agency of "integrity - courage - professionalism - friendliness".
The 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Inspectorate is an opportunity for each cadre, civil servant and inspector of the Provincial Inspectorate to look back on the past journey, cherish traditional values, and add motivation for the new journey. With the spirit of solidarity, courage and dedication, the Provincial Inspectorate continues to uphold the "torch of integrity", excellently completing the tasks assigned by the Party, the State and the People, contributing to building An Giang to develop sustainably, with a clean and strong government, serving the People better and better.
