
Housing support for flood victims
The program "Compatriots' love - Support for people affected by storms and floods" was recently organized by VTV Youth Union, Tam Long Viet Fund and VTV8, giving more than 20 tons of essential goods worth more than 800 million VND to more than 400 households in Tra Tan, Thuong Duc and Avuong communes.
The program has free transportation support from Vietnam Railway Corporation and accompanying units.

In addition to necessities, the program supports the construction of 2 houses for disadvantaged households in Thuong Duc commune with a budget of 200 million VND. The working group of Tam Long Viet Fund also surveyed the damage after storms No. 12 and 13 in the highland commune of Tra Tan, agreeing to sponsor 18 new houses that meet storm and flood resistance standards.
Tra Tan Commune Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Lai said that after the recent flood, the whole commune recorded more than 50 large and small landslides, nearly 70 houses were swept away or completely collapsed.
“People are facing countless difficulties. The program “Compatriots' love - Support for people affected by storms and floods” has timely shared and helped people stabilize their lives. We are very grateful and appreciate this support,” said Mr. Lai.

Extend the journey of sharing
From November 13 to 15, 200 households in Phu An and Phu Hoa villages (Phu Thuan commune) received 100 gifts including blankets, food, and 100 cash gifts, each worth 500,000 VND from the Global Village Foundation.
This organization regularly conducts charitable and humanitarian activities to support the poor in Da Nang ; support disabled children and orphans at Hope Village. Recently, Global Village Foundation built a dental clinic worth 900 million VND for children at Hope Village.

Accompanying the people in the flood-hit areas, on November 11 and 12, 3 flights carrying emergency aid from the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Centre) landed at Da Nang airport.
This is a source of support for people in Da Nang city who were heavily affected by the floods in late October and early November.

The AHA Center's aid includes 3,648 household essential kits, 1,999 kitchenware kits and 3,000 personal hygiene kits. The total estimated value is more than 264,000 USD (equivalent to nearly 7 billion VND).
These goods were received by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and delivered to people in the following communes and wards: Thuong Duc, Go Noi, Ha Nha, Dai Loc, Phu Thuan, Vu Gia, An Thang, Thanh Binh, Hoa Tien, Hoa Vang, Nam Giang, Duy Xuyen, Thu Bon, Nam Phuoc, Dong Giang, Song Vang, Hiep Duc, Viet An, Hoa Xuan, Dien Ban.
Organizing sports tournaments for disaster areas
On November 16, Cam Le Ward Business Association organized the 3rd Hoa Binh Cup Pickleball Tournament with the theme "Towards people in flood-affected areas".
Through the award, the Ward Business Association called on organizations, businesses, philanthropists and members to join hands in contributing and raising funds to support people in flood-affected areas to overcome difficulties and rebuild their lives after natural disasters.
Previously, on November 15, the Danang Reporter Football Club organized the charity football tournament "Circle of Love" to raise funds to support people in the highlands of Danang city affected by storms and floods.
Through the tournament, the organizers raised more than 70 million VND. It is expected that by the end of November 2025, the football teams will coordinate to survey and carry out a charity project to donate to people who suffered heavy losses after the flood.
