The People's Committee of Cu M'ta commune said that as of 7:00 p.m. on November 19, due to the impact of heavy rain over the past two days, a traffic road in village 7 was completely broken (the overflow was washed away).

The reason is that the sewer has a small drainage aperture, the large amount of stream water flowing in brings along a large amount of soil, rocks, dry tree roots and some types of crops of the people causing blockage leading to breakage. When the incident happened, the Commune Civil Defense Command stretched ropes, assigned people to stand guard, not allowing people to pass through the above location.

The whole commune has 7 traffic locations flooded due to heavy rain and floods. Specifically: 1 location at the bridge of village 7, with a flooded length of about 200 m (this is the only road connecting the commune center to village 7, so currently village 7 is completely isolated); 1 location at the overflow of village 5 with a flooded length of about 100 m; 1 location at the overflow of village 6 with a flooded length of about 100 m; 1 location at the overflow of Buon Go - Nang (traffic route from Nang village to Quyet Thang village) with a flooded length of about 100 m; 1 location at the overflow between Bhao village, Cu M'ta commune and M'Drak commune (old district road) with a flooded length of about 150 m; 1 location at the overflow bridge of Hi - Duc village with a flooded length of about 150 m; 1 location at the culvert of village 9 with a flooded length of about 100 m (this is the only road connecting the commune center to village 9, so currently the area of village 9 is completely isolated).

Heavy rain caused complete disruption of traffic.

Due to heavy rain, the roads were flooded, so in the commune, villages 7 and 9 were completely isolated. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, if the rain continues, more than 500 households in the two villages will continue to be isolated.

According to preliminary statistics, in the commune, there are 18 households affected by flooding and landslides (village 9 has 7 flooded households, Ho village has 2 flooded households, Go - Nang village has 4 flooded households, Tan Lap village has 1 flooded household, village 18 has 2 flooded households, village 7 has 2 landslide households).

The Commune Civil Defense Command has directed forces to coordinate with the self-management boards of villages and hamlets to evacuate people and property from flooded and landslide areas to avoid damage to people and property (moving households to schools and houses in areas that are not flooded).

At the same time, it has informed people to limit going out, especially prohibiting traffic in flooded areas and to firmly reinforce houses and animal pens, and keep livestock and poultry warm...
