Regarding medical supplies and environmental sanitation: To prevent epidemics that often arise after floods, the list calls for support for cough medicines, cold medicines and disinfectants. In addition, hygiene products such as soap and dishwashing liquid are also essential for people to clean their homes and belongings.
Regarding living and reconstruction supplies: Due to many houses being flooded and damaged, people are in dire need of warm clothes, blankets, mats, mattresses and items such as flashlights, backup generators, water buckets, gas stoves to overcome the local power outage and water shortage.
In particular, to help people quickly restore production and repair houses after the flood recedes, the support list also includes rice seeds and roofing sheets.
Previously, the Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Industry and Trade to contact suppliers and distributors to receive necessities to help people.

As of 6 a.m. on November 22, the authorities had delivered to 34/34 communes and wards in the Eastern region the following goods: 32,858 cartons of noodles; 5,916 cartons of drinking water; 7,484 cartons of milk, more than 11,000 cans of fish and thousands of medicines and medical supplies.
In addition, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee also received and promptly supported 6,000 cartons of milk; 1,000 cartons of candy and more than 14,000 fast food meals for people in flood-affected areas.
However, the actual needs in localities are still very large, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province proposed the Central Government and organizations to urgently support a list of essential necessities in large quantities, including: 500 tons of rice, 46,000 boxes of instant noodles, 40,000 boxes of drinking water, 30,000 sets of warm clothes and 25,000 blankets.
In addition, to treat the environment and prevent epidemics after the flood, the province also proposed to support 1,000 kg of disinfectant (Cloramine B), 40,000 doses of cough and cold medicine, and home repair materials such as roofing sheets and screws. For production recovery, localities proposed to support 80 tons of rice seeds and other agricultural materials.
Currently, the Provincial People's Committee is continuing to direct localities to review and update actual damage data to have timely remedial plans.
