The first impression of him is that he is agile and disciplined. In the orange shirt of an electrician, with dark skin and bright eyes, Mr. Quoc observed the entire process of his colleagues from cutting off the power on the line, to testing the electricity, grounding (grounding) and handling the replacement of the circuit breaker at the repaired electric pole, completing and making a completion report to the Phu Loc Electricity Management Team headquarters.
“ Mr. Tong Phuoc Quoc is a very careful person, as if he was born to work in safety. Going directly to inspect the scene is not mandatory, but he always participates in surveys with the team to grasp the actual situation, and also goes with the team directly to handle incidents to remind his colleagues about electrical safety discipline ,” Mr. Phan Thanh Lam, Team Leader of Phu Loc Electricity Management Team, introduced his exemplary team member to the writer.
Mr. Tong Quoc Phuoc is currently a safety and hygiene officer of the Technical Management Team, Phu Loc Power Management Team, Hue Power Company, who, between shifts, mountain roads, and remote transformer stations, is always mentioned by his colleagues as a role model of a "soldier in orange shirt".
Born and raised in Loc Thuy commune, Phu Loc district (now Chan May - Lang Co commune, Hue city), Mr. Tong Phuoc Quoc is attached to the electricity industry with passion and seriousness towards the profession.
His daily work is to closely coordinate with the team leader and specialized safety officers to manage tools, monitor inspection deadlines, and test safety equipment. In addition, as a member of the Technical Management Team, he and his teammates always directly participate in site surveys, fully prepare work sheets, equipment, and construction tools for the team before deploying the task.
“ I always keep in mind that my job is not only to monitor safety but also to protect the lives and health of my colleagues. Electrical safety is not just a regulation, but a discipline. Therefore, first of all, I must be disciplined and do well the assigned tasks ,” Mr. Quoc expressed.

As a person who regularly contacts and performs safety inspection tasks, Mr. Quoc clearly understands the structure and features of each equipment and material. From there, he boldly proposed many solutions to improve safety tools and equipment, helping to improve the unit's productivity. For example, he proposed a solution to lift large wires with levers to replace porcelain on the pole or a solution to use recovered angle iron to process low-voltage cable supports for transformers... These solutions, when applied in practice, not only bring economic efficiency but also contribute to the safe and convenient construction of the power grid system.
Proud of the pioneering spirit of electricians
Not only doing a good job in his professional work at Phu Loc Electricity Management Team, Mr. Quoc, like thousands of orange-shirt workers in the Central region, is always proud and carries the spirit of volunteering to participate in tasks to support local electricity companies in difficult times.
Phu Loc is always an area affected every time Hue enters the rainy and stormy season. However, as soon as the water receded and the local power supply was temporarily restored, Mr. Quoc volunteered to go on the road and join more than 100 officers and employees of Hue Electricity Company to support the Gia Lai electricity industry to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 13 in early November 2025.

“ I had a very meaningful business trip. In a place where the damage caused by storm No. 13 was still waiting to be repaired, the efforts of our electricity workers were rewarded with smiles and bottles of water from the people. It was a memorable trip ,” Mr. Quoc said with a smile.
The captain of Phu Loc Electricity Management Team said that Mr. Tong Phuoc Quoc is a familiar face of the Hue electricity shock team. From participating in supporting the construction of the 500kV line project, circuit 3, Quang Trach - Pho Noi, a national key project in 2024; to the days when Hue electricians were present in Quang Ninh to support the restoration of the power grid after storm No. 3, he participated.
“ Not everyone can participate in supporting large power projects or restoring the power grid. That responsibility and honor is only for electricians. We know that the job is not easy, but it is very proud and glorious. Therefore, for me, being able to participate in contributing is something to be proud of, ” Mr. Quoc shared.
“ Whether in professional work at the Team or performing tasks when participating in support, Mr. Quoc always brings me and my teammates trust because of his serious working style, high discipline, good expertise and enthusiasm, not complaining about difficulties and hardships. He is a typical example of an electrician for the Central region ”, commented Captain of Phu Loc Electricity Management Team Phan Thanh Lam.
Mr. Tong Phuoc Quoc's efforts have been recognized by the leaders of the local power unit as well as the Central Power Corporation. Mr. Tong Phuoc Quoc has been recognized many times as an Advanced Worker; received Certificates of Merit from Hue Power Company (in 2023 and 2024) and Certificates of Merit from the Central Power Corporation in 2024 for his outstanding achievements in safety work.
