Director of the Tax Department Mai Xuan Thanh gives gifts to disadvantaged households

The delegation visited and presented 200 gifts to households in Dan Dien and Quang Dien communes, each household received 1.5 million VND, including 1 million VND in cash and 500,000 VND in gifts. At the same time, the delegation also presented support to 10 city tax officials who suffered heavy losses due to floods, each official received 5 million VND. The total value of support was 350 million VND. This is the amount of money that the Tax Department launched to support flood victims among the staff, civil servants and employees of the Tax Department.

At the places where he visited and gave gifts to support people in flood-hit areas, Director of the Tax Department Mai Xuan Thanh shared the difficulties and losses of local people. At the same time, he affirmed that the tax sector always understands and shares the losses that people have to suffer due to natural disasters.

The Director of the Tax Department said that, along with the task of collecting the budget, social security work is always a responsibility that the tax sector prioritizes, especially in times when people are facing the most difficulties. Hopefully, today's gifts, though small, will help people to stabilize their lives and restore their livelihoods after natural disasters. The tax sector will continue to accompany the locality in community support activities, creating all favorable conditions for taxpayers to restore production and business, overcoming the current difficult period.

The delegation also worked with Hue City Tax on the implementation of the State budget collection task in the area, the work of preventing tax losses and transfer pricing; the organization and implementation of tax management according to the 2-level local government model; and the work of converting households from contracting to declaring.

Mr. Doan Vi Tuyen, Head of the City Tax Department, informed that as of November 20, the City Tax Department collected 11,200 billion VND, reaching 99.2% of the estimate assigned by the Ministry of Finance , equal to 123% over the same period. The City Tax Department also proactively propagated, guided, and supported tax policies to people, businesses, and business households in the area in many forms. At the same time, the campaign "45 peak days of converting the model from lump-sum tax to declaration for business households" was launched with the goal of 100% of business households applying the lump-sum tax method to apply the declaration method and self-pay taxes from January 1, 2026.

For the remaining time of 2025, the City Tax Department will focus on promoting the application of digital transformation in the State budget collection work, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of budget collection management, ensuring correct and timely collection... striving to increase the State budget revenue in 2025 to over 20% compared to the estimate. Focus on directing the processing of administrative procedure settlement records for people and businesses in the area to ensure speed, timeliness, and accuracy to avoid interruptions. City tax department launches campaign to support business households in converting tax management model

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh requested the City Tax Department to closely follow the budget collection target, organize the effective exploitation of revenue sources, and ensure that taxpayer support work is carried out promptly and in accordance with regulations. In the context that the tax industry is implementing a management model according to the 2-level local government, the City Tax Department must proactively coordinate with relevant departments and offices, enhance responsibility, and enhance professionalism in handling work.

Regarding the task of converting business households from lump-sum tax to declaration, the Director requested the city to focus on propaganda, direct guidance, and clear explanation of benefits and responsibilities so that taxpayers can feel secure in converting. The implementation must be resolutely supported to the maximum extent so that households comply with regulations. The city tax needs to continue to innovate management methods, improve service quality, ensure both the completion of budget collection tasks and accompany taxpayers in local economic development.
