On November 22, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board said that in recent days, Hue city and Da Nang city have continued to have prolonged heavy rain with rainfall of over 400mm. Through monitoring, the landslide location at Km42+700 - Km42+800 on the La Son - Hoa Lien expressway section still has small landslides, with the risk of forming a slide arc causing large landslides.

Although the project investor has arranged people and equipment to monitor and handle the situation promptly, if vehicles travel at night, there will be a high risk of traffic accidents, not ensuring safety for people and vehicles.

Therefore, to ensure safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic on the route, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board continues to implement a temporary traffic organization plan on this highway.

Accordingly, the sections Km42+700 - Km42+800 and Km50+700 - Km50+800 will continue to be opened to 1 lane, with traffic control forces on duty 24/7, and monitored for about 15 days (from December 21 to December 5, 2025). After the monitoring period, if safety conditions are assessed, 2 lanes will be opened to traffic at these locations.

The Project Management Board also coordinated with the local Traffic Police to regulate and prohibit passenger cars and trucks with more than 6 axles from traveling on the route, starting from 5:00 a.m. on November 21 to 5:00 p.m. on December 5, and only allowing the remaining vehicles to travel on the route from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. After 15 days, it will evaluate and have a plan to reopen to normal traffic.

The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board also informed people and vehicles to proactively choose suitable and safe routes and requested the Traffic Police Department and local police to direct the traffic police force to coordinate in guiding, reminding, and regulating people and vehicles not to enter the above-mentioned routes.

Previously, due to the impact of heavy rain, many locations on the La Son - Hoa Lien highway section had positive slope landslides, with rocks and soil spilling onto the road surface. The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board mobilized human resources and machinery to handle the landslides and soil, and at the same time notified relevant agencies and units about the temporary traffic organization plan on the La Son - Hoa Lien highway.
