On November 23, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) announced that in order to promptly share difficulties and accompany students in 5 provinces (Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong) affected by floods and natural disasters, the school will reduce 10% of tuition fees for the last semester of 2025.

Accordingly, full-time university students of Courses 48, 49, 50, 51 with permanent residence in the above 5 provinces will receive a 10% reduction in tuition fees for the final semester of 2025, deducted from tuition fees for the first semester of 2026; will be considered for scholarships (if meeting regulations); tuition payment period extended, and bank loan interest support.

Previously, UEH also implemented policies to share difficulties for students affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi), with three key policies: Tuition reduction, support scholarships and tuition payment extension.

Also according to UEH, to support full-time university students and their families in provinces and cities directly affected by storms and floods , reduce financial pressure and stabilize after the damage, UEH continues to extend the deadline for paying tuition fees for the first semester of 2026 to January 25, 2026 (longer than the previous support policy).

Through two rounds of support for students affected by storms and floods , the total expected support resources are nearly 23 billion VND.

The total number of students supported is 11,262 students from 24 provinces and cities affected by the situation in 2025, including: Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Ninh Binh, Hue, Son La, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi City, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong.

Many universities in Ho Chi Minh City also have many activities aimed at people affected by floods in the five provinces of Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong.

The Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City organized a relief reception point and received many donations to support people in the Central Highlands provinces who are suffering heavy damage due to floods.

Students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade also organized to make flower baskets, souvenirs... to sell and all the proceeds were sent to people affected by floods.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Law is also reviewing the cases of students from localities affected by floods in the Central Highlands to have appropriate and specific forms of support.
