Officials and people of Lien Son Lak commune donated nearly 100 million VND and many necessities to people in the flood-hit areas in the East of the province.

Despite also suffering damage due to the impact of storm No. 13, officials and people of Lien Son Lak commune showed a noble gesture by donating and supporting people in the flood-hit areas in the East of the province with cash and many essential necessities.

Lien Son Lak commune has more than 26,300 people of 25 ethnic groups living there (of which local ethnic minorities account for 73.6%). Due to the impact of storm No. 13, 26 households in the commune had their houses flooded and isolated, 27 hectares of crops of all kinds were flooded, and many irrigation and traffic works were damaged.

Officials and people of Lien Son Lak commune gathered goods and necessities to support people in the eastern region of the province.

However, with the tradition of mutual love, in recent days, officials and people of Lien Son Lak have actively contributed and raised a total cash amount of nearly 110 million VND. This amount is specifically allocated: 15 million VND to support 26 households that were flooded and isolated right in the commune, the rest is reserved to support people in the eastern areas of the province that suffered more severe damage.

In addition to cash, people of Lien Son Lak also contributed many essential necessities, including: more than 2.5 tons of rice, 52 cartons of milk, 141 cartons of instant noodles and many clothes, blankets, mosquito nets and other items.

Officials and a convoy of vehicles carrying relief goods from people of Lien Son Lak commune set off to support people in the eastern part of the province.

On the afternoon of November 23, the volunteer group of Lien Son Lak commune set off with 8 pickup trucks carrying goods and necessities to deliver directly to people affected by natural disasters in the eastern region of the province.

Ms. Dao Thi Thanh An, Party Secretary and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Lien Son Lak commune, shared: "Although the economic life of the people is still difficult, with the spirit of solidarity and mutual love, the cadres and people here are always willing to share with more difficult areas, severely devastated by natural disasters."
