Forecast: East Sea is about to welcome storm number 15

At the end of November, storm number 15 may appear in the East Sea, and the Central region faces the risk of recurring heavy rain.

Ms. Le Thi Xuan Lan, a hydrometeorological expert, said that in the last days of November, the East Sea may welcome storm number 15 in 2025.

According to Ms. Lan, the US forecast model predicts that around November 26-27, there is a possibility of a storm crossing the Philippines into the East Sea. Around the end of November or the beginning of December, this storm may affect the South Central region, with the risk of a period of rain.

The Southern Hydrometeorological Station also forecasted that around November 26 to 27, there is a possibility of a tropical cyclone (storm and tropical depression) appearing in the East Sea.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that in the context of climate change, weather and climate are becoming increasingly complex with many dangerous and extreme forms such as heavy rain in a short time, flash floods, landslides, etc.

Therefore, authorities at all levels and people regularly update and integrate meteorological and hydrological forecast and warning information in short-term bulletins of 1 to 3 days, to promptly adjust production plans, appropriate response plans, especially appropriate reservoir operation plans, ensuring safety of works and downstream areas, along with ensuring safety for production activities and people's lives.
