Ca Dam commune was cut off, 314 people were isolated after floods

QNgTV- Heavy rains in recent days have caused serious landslides on many traffic routes in Ca Dam commune, Quang Ngai province, cutting off traffic and isolating 314 people in Tang village.

Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune Nguyen Van Danh said that the 12km road from the commune center to Tang village had 26 landslides, of which the section from Nien village to Tang village was completely broken for 50m, creating a 35m deep abyss.

Currently, people have to walk through a 1km long trail along the mountainside, taking nearly 4 hours to transport goods from the commune center.

The commune authorities advised people to only move when absolutely necessary. The locality has proposed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to the Provincial People's Committee to support emergency repair costs, including clearing 40,000 cubic meters of landslides, building stone embankments, and building a 35-meter concrete bridge at the broken road section.

In addition to Tang village, many other routes such as Tang - Que, Nuoc Nia - Que and Tra Tan - Cay Cho - Tra Nham also suffered landslides and subsidence, making them impassable.
