In Tan Dao hamlet, Dong Thanh village, where the terrain is mountainous but many areas are still deeply flooded, the Quang Ngai Traffic Police force has continuously used canoes to transport necessities and drinking water to the area where people have temporarily taken shelter from the flood.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tan Dat, head of the working group, said that all the people here escaped when the floodwaters came, but for the past 5 days they have had no food or drinking water. The officers and soldiers have had to work continuously, without rest, to provide food in time to 52 households, with 217 people who have not been able to access it for the past 5 days. Many houses, properties and livestock in the hamlet have been swept away by the water, the area is still deeply flooded and completely isolated.
Relief and supply work of the Quang Ngai Traffic Police force is still being urgently deployed to help people overcome this difficult period soon.
