Strengthening fire prevention and fighting at the facility

Identifying propaganda work as a key task in preventing and avoiding the risk of fire and explosion, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH), Tay Ninh Provincial Police has deployed many programs and activities to disseminate knowledge, provide skills guidance, and contribute to raising awareness and responsibility of grassroots leaders as well as all classes of people.

Lieutenant Dang Thanh Long - an officer of the Go Dau Fire Fighting and Rescue Team, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Provincial Police said: "The risk of fire and explosion at companies and enterprises still has many potential complications. Therefore, the unit promotes propaganda and practice at facilities to raise awareness and responsibility of facility leaders; prepare forces, means and necessary conditions to promptly fight fires and rescue; promote the role of on-site fire fighting forces, well implement the 4 on-site motto (on-site command, on-site forces, on-site means, on-site logistics supplies)".

At JINYU Vietnam TIRE Co., Ltd. (Phuoc Dong Industrial Park, Hung Thuan Commune, Tay Ninh Province), fire prevention and fighting work is one of the contents that is focused on and implemented from three aspects.

The company often pays attention to human resources issues and emergency response plans for fire prevention and fighting; complies with the established annual fire prevention and fighting management plan, conducts drills, including each department and each stage; and carries out regular standardized management of fire prevention and fighting equipment.

In particular, the company stipulates that unit-level inspections are on the 5th of every month, with safety staff inspecting on the 10th and managers coming to the site to re-inspect on the 15th, to ensure that fire protection equipment is operating effectively.

In addition, to improve knowledge and skills for employees, the company has coordinated with functional agencies to organize propaganda and professional training for leaders and grassroots fire prevention and fighting forces combined with practicing fire fighting and rescue plans of the unit.

The company is a tire manufacturing enterprise, using flammable and explosive materials, so fire prevention work is always taken seriously. Key areas with high risks such as raw material warehouses, finished product warehouses, and areas containing dangerous chemicals are always controlled for fire prevention. Before entering the shift, employees will check equipment and escape systems to ensure effective operation."

Mr. Le Thanh Phong - Safety - Environment Department employee, JINYU Vietnam Tire Co., Ltd. shared: "Firefighting work is extremely necessary, because when an emergency occurs, staying calm and responding to the incident is very important, helping to minimize risks and damage to people and property. During work, I focus on preventive measures, every day I go down to the workshop to check the use of gasoline and flammable materials, and check key areas according to regulations."

In order for companies, businesses and people to join hands with the authorities in fire and explosion prevention, the Go Dau Fire Fighting and Rescue Team will continue to promote propaganda and education in many forms: Organizing extracurricular activities, practical exercises, instructing basic skills on escape, using on-site fire fighting equipment; applying digital platforms in propaganda work; widely disseminating in the community the model of "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Group", each household is equipped with at least one fire extinguisher and forming more "Public Fire Fighting Points"; strengthening inspection and review of fire and explosion risks to guide and remind people to always be vigilant against "fire"./.
