Southern Lao provinces support Da Nang with 700 million VND to overcome flood consequences

DNO - In the face of heavy damage caused by floods in Da Nang city, at the Vietnamese Consulate General in Pakse (Laos), leaders of Sekong, Champasak and Salavan provinces sent their condolences for the difficulties and losses caused by natural disasters to the city's people.

Leaders of Sekong, Champasak and Salavan provinces affirmed that the local Party Committee, government and people always accompany and are ready to join hands with Da Nang to overcome difficulties.

On this occasion, 3 provinces supported Da Nang with 700 million VND (Sekong 300 million VND, Champasak 200 million VND, Salavan 200 million VND) to overcome damage caused by floods.

On behalf of the Party, State and people of Vietnam in general and Da Nang city in particular, Vietnamese Consul General in Pakse Ta Phuong Dung expressed deep gratitude to the leaders of neighboring provinces.

At the same time, he affirmed that this timely support is a great source of encouragement, vividly demonstrating the great friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

Based on the discussion between the Consulate General of Vietnam in Pakse and the agreement of the City People's Committee, on November 17, 2025, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang issued a document requesting the transfer of the entire above-mentioned support amount to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city for timely allocation and support to people affected by natural disasters.
