There were also researchers; representatives of Russian industrial and energy enterprises such as the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom), aluminum producer Rusal, and pharmaceutical company AlPharma.
The forum attracted the attention of many management units, scientists and businesses of the two countries to discuss "hot" issues and suggest many issues to develop industrial, energy and trade cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
At the forum, experts and businesses emphasized the importance of Vietnam-Russia cooperation in industry and renewable energy, especially offshore wind power, as a pillar to promote sustainable development and bilateral economy . Human resource training cooperation, a legacy of more than 70 years, needs to be innovated to meet the requirements of new technology, digital transformation and production autonomy. Current challenges include slow updating of training programs, language barriers, limited participation of businesses and insufficient mechanisms to retain experts. The proposed solution is to upgrade training, develop research centers, combine learning and practice, and strengthen business cooperation to create a new generation of industrial experts who master high technology.

Speaking at the opening of the forum, Deputy Minister Truong Thanh Hoai informed that the Vietnam - Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is developing very well. The Russian Federation is not only a traditional and reliable partner but also a great friend who has accompanied Vietnam throughout the process of building and defending the Fatherland.

Entering a new era, an era of national development, Vietnam has identified industrialization and modernization as a key task, in which science, technology and innovation are the top national policies. According to the orientation to 2030, Vietnam expects the proportion of industry to reach over 40% of GDP, with processing and manufacturing industry accounting for about 30%.
“We are focusing on strongly transforming the growth model to depth, prioritizing the development of energy industry, materials industry, mechanical engineering and digital technology industry,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.
To realize those ambitious goals, in addition to internal strength, Vietnam values international cooperation, especially with the Russian Federation, a powerful country with a solid foundation in basic science and technology and world-leading source technology level.
At the forum, Deputy Minister Truong Thanh Hoai highly appreciated the initiative to organize the event. “With the participation of many managers, experts, scientists and especially large enterprises such as Rosatom, Rusal, AlPharma... and Vietnamese corporations, I believe that the forum will not only stop at theoretical exchanges, but will open up opportunities for substantive and in-depth cooperation”, Deputy Minister Truong Thanh Hoai believes.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Aleksey Gruzdev also emphasized that the Vietnam - Russia relationship has a long history. Since the late 1950s, the Soviet Union has made important contributions to the formation of the young independent state of Vietnam, especially in industry and technology.

"The forum was organized to become a driving force and a step forward in the deeper development of the relationship between the two countries, and to coordinate the promotion of industry and technology between the two countries," said the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Deputy Minister Aleksey Gruzdev also said that in the coming time, the Russian Government will invest up to billions of dollars to support the development of industries such as the production of motor trucks and a fast-growing industry such as high-tech manufacturing. In addition, the focus is on the 40% proportion of goods for non-energy exports. "By 2030, we strive to achieve 90% industrial independence. The Russian Federation strives to become a leading country in high-tech industry," Deputy Minister Aleksey Gruzdev informed.
He also stated that the Russian Federation and Vietnam still have a lot of potential for joint development. With good relations, he believes that the two countries will achieve many achievements in the coming time.
