There is a Hoi An submerged in floodwaters, yet breathtakingly beautiful, as seen through the lens of photographer Mai Quang Hien.

Flooding has submerged the Hoai River and several streets such as Bach Dang, Tran Phu, and Nguyen Thai Hoc. Residents downstream of the Vu Gia and Thu Bon rivers in Hoi An, as well as merchants and businesses, have had to evacuate their goods for the fourth time this rainy season. The extent of property damage caused by the flooding is yet to be fully assessed.

Most locals remain optimistic, quickly overcoming the difficulties and maintaining services. Tourists from all over the world also enjoy experiencing Hoi An during the flood season. Tourists still flock to the ancient town, enjoying Hoi An by rowboat on the streets within the town.

Traveling during the flood season in Hoi An has long been a unique product, attracting tourists from both within and outside the country.

Shops located on higher ground remained open to customers, as if there had never been any flooding.

Hoi An during the rainy season is also known as the "mossy street". Currently, green moss covers the tiled roofs, brick walls, and the narrow alleys leading to the Hoai River.
