Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has assigned six Deputy Prime Ministers to monitor and direct localities in achieving the economic growth target of over 10%.

The Prime Minister assigns additional tasks to 6 Deputy Prime Ministers.

On May 22nd, Politburo member and Prime Minister Le Minh Hung signed Decision No. 923/QD-TTg dated May 22, 2026, assigning Government leaders to monitor and direct localities in achieving the economic growth target of over 10% in 2026 and subsequent years.

The Prime Minister assigned the Deputy Prime Ministers to act on behalf of the Prime Minister to monitor and direct localities in implementing socio-economic development tasks as outlined in the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Resolutions of the Government, and the Resolutions of the Party Congresses of provinces and cities for the 2025-2030 term, especially Conclusion No. 18-KL/TW dated April 2, 2026, of the 14th Central Committee of the Party, aiming to achieve economic growth of over 10% in 2026 and subsequent years.

1. Politburo member and Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc oversees localities in the Southeast region (including Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai City, and Tay Ninh).

2. Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Phan Van Giang oversees the localities in the South Central coastal region and the Central Highlands (including Da Nang city, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong).

3. Central Party Committee Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra oversees localities in the Northern Midlands and mountainous region (including: Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Lang Son, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Son La, Thai Nguyen, and Tuyen Quang).

4. Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung oversees localities in the Mekong Delta region (including: Can Tho city, An Giang, Dong Thap, Ca Mau, and Vinh Long).

5. Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang oversees localities in the Red River Delta region (including: Hanoi city, Hai Phong city, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh).

6. Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau is overseeing localities in the North Central region (including: Hue City, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Tri).

The decision states that the Deputy Prime Ministers shall proactively choose appropriate working methods for the localities they are assigned to oversee, in order to directly guide the implementation of socio-economic development solutions, focusing on removing obstacles and bottlenecks hindering growth, reforming administrative procedures, and decentralizing power according to their authority and legal regulations, in order to achieve the national economic growth target of 10% or more as stipulated in Conclusion No. 18-KL/TW of the Central Committee.

Previously, on April 16, 2026, the Government issued Resolution No. 109/NQ-CP updating and supplementing the Government's Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party and the Central Committee's Conclusion No. 18-KL/TW on the medium-term 5-year plan for socio-economic development, national finance, public borrowing and repayment, and public investment for 2026-2030, linked to achieving the goal of "double-digit" growth.

The core focus of Resolution 109/NQ-CP is to achieve the goal of double-digit economic growth while maintaining macroeconomic stability and improving the quality of life for the people.

The resolution outlines strategic tasks including: establishing a new growth model driven by science, technology, and innovation; comprehensively improving institutions to unleash productive forces; developing high-quality human resources; and modernizing the infrastructure system.
