Pepper prices in the world today continue to have no new changes. According to VPSA, US President Donald Trump has signed an Executive Order adjusting the scope of application of reciprocal tax issued from April 2025.

From November 13, a series of agricultural products such as coffee, tea, tropical fruits, juices, cocoa, spices, bananas, citrus fruits and tomatoes will no longer be subject to additional tariffs.

This decision was made by the US side after bilateral trade negotiations made progress, showing a shift from tough defense measures to a flexible approach to stabilize domestic supply and consumer prices.

Thus, the world pepper price today, November 18, 2025, remains unchanged compared to yesterday.

The US decision to no longer subject agricultural products to additional tariffs will be an important opportunity to increase Vietnam's presence in the US market.

VPSA believes that the tax removal is a significant "boost" for the spice group, which has been under great pressure for the past six months, helping to increase competitiveness and support businesses to regain market share in Vietnam's largest pepper import market.

Pepper price today 11/18/2025 in the country and the world latest

In the first 10 months of the year, Vietnam exported 206,427 tons of pepper, earning 1.3 billion USD, a sharp increase in value despite a decrease in output. The US market alone consumed 44,262 tons, accounting for more than 21% of total export volume. VPSA forecasts that the amount of pepper exported to the US will recover strongly in the coming time.

However, the association warned that removing reciprocal tariffs does not mean exempting import taxes, and businesses must still strictly meet SPS, residue and traceability standards if they want to fully take advantage of the new benefits.

Thus, today's pepper price on November 18, 2025 in the country is trading around 144,000 - 145,500 VND/kg.
