OM 380 rice (fresh) is around 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice is priced at 6,000 - 6,200 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) is fluctuating around 5,600 - 5,700 VND/kg.
The price of IR 4625 sticky rice (fresh) is at 7,300 - 7,500 VND/kg; while IR 4625 sticky rice (dried) is at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg. The price of 3-month-old dry sticky rice is trading around 9,600 - 9,700 VND/kg.

Raw rice OM 380 is priced at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg; finished rice OM 380 is priced at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, raw rice CL 555 is priced at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg.
The price of IR 504 raw rice fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,700 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg. The price of Soc Det raw rice is 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg. The price of Dai Thom 8 rice is traded around 8,700 - 8,900 VND/kg.

Mekong Delta faces risk of disease outbreak in 2025 Autumn-Winter rice crop

According to the Southern Center for Crop Production and Plant Protection, the 2025 autumn-winter crop in the Mekong Delta is facing the risk of outbreaks of pests such as rice blast, leaf blight, leaf rust and leaf rollers. The entire region has recorded more than 12,200 hectares of rice infected with rice blast and over 7,000 hectares with leaf blight at a rate of 15-30%, concentrated in Can Tho, Vinh Long, An Giang and Tay Ninh, threatening productivity if not controlled promptly.

In Vinh Long , many farmers said that pests and diseases appeared densely due to unseasonal rains. Mr. Thach Phi Rum said that his rice fields were once severely affected by leaf blight, but thanks to instructions on spraying special pesticides, the rice turned green again after only a few days. Similarly, Mr. Thach Then said that rice blast and leaf blight in 55-day-old fields were controlled after timely treatment.

According to recommendations, the panicle stage is the time that determines yield, so it is necessary to keep the panicle leaves healthy. For rice blast, farmers need to clear weeds, treat straw, adjust sowing density and spray the entire field as soon as the first cluster of disease appears. For bacterial diseases, it is necessary to drain water when the disease breaks out, reduce nitrogen and increase potassium to increase plant resistance.
