Xuan Son is fit to play
In the match against Laos, the Vietnamese team welcomed back Xuan Son. The Brazilian striker returned after a year of injury.
In the past 11 months, Xuan Son only played a few minutes in the internal friendly match between Nam Dinh and PVF-CAND Youth. In that period, the 28-year-old player did not play a single match.

However, Xuan Son is meeting the coaching staff's request to play on the training ground. The 28-year-old striker believes he is fit enough to compete. Coach Kim also left open the opportunity for his student to play.
"I heard that without Xuan Son, Nam Dinh FC would have had a very difficult time. I also want to thank Nam Dinh for taking care of Xuan Son. I think it was completely possible to use him (in the match against Laos). Xuan Son spent 10 months to treat his injury and recover, I am very grateful for that. I also want to thank his family and everyone who has been by Xuan Son's side during the difficult time.
Xuan Son's return will certainly bring more diverse attacking options to the Vietnamese team. I hope that he will return with a goal to bring good news to Vietnamese fans. I am very happy that Xuan Son has recovered and returned," coach Kim Sang-sik added.
Finally, coach Kim Sang-sik affirmed that although the quality of the training ground was not as expected, the Vietnamese team overcame difficulties to ensure training progress.
"Regarding the training ground conditions, I know it's not 100% perfect, but we've completed the training sessions well in those conditions. The players have trained very well and that hasn't affected us too much. We will maintain our determination and focus on tomorrow's match," Kim concluded.
