Appeal letter from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City to support flood victims

(PLVN) - On November 23, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City issued an Open Letter calling on agencies, units, businesses and people of the city to join hands to support people in the Central Highlands and Central provinces to overcome the consequences of floods.

Accordingly, in recent days, prolonged heavy rains, flash floods and landslides have caused serious damage in many provinces in the Central and Central Highlands. Tens of thousands of houses were deeply flooded; many residential areas were isolated, traffic was cut off; people's lives were severely affected. People in flooded areas are in dire need of timely support to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

Implementing the direction of the Politburo on assigning Hai Phong city to directly support Dak Lak province, along with the direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the City leaders agreed to send a working delegation to directly visit and encourage Dak Lak province and coordinate to deploy support work to overcome the consequences of floods.

Promoting the tradition of loyalty, frankness, generosity and willingness to share of Hai Phong people, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City calls on agencies, units, enterprises; socio-political organizations; philanthropists; cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers and all people of the city to actively respond to the campaign; join hands to support people in the Central Highlands provinces who are suffering heavy losses; support necessities, clean water, medicine, food and essential items; and at the same time contribute to Dak Lak province to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize people's lives.
