After three days of bustling atmosphere filled with solidarity and rich national cultural identity, the 2nd Muong Ethnic Cultural Festival in 2025 with the theme "Preserving and promoting Muong ethnic cultural identity in the new era" chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the provinces and cities: Hanoi, Phu Tho, Son La, Lao Cai and Thanh Hoa organized at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, the "common home" of the community of 54 ethnic groups, was a great success.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Director of the Department of Culture of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Trinh Ngoc Chung acknowledged, commended and congratulated the efforts and valuable contributions of the provinces, cities, cultural officers, artisans, actors and Muong ethnic people from the provinces and cities who gathered at the common house to participate, respond and make the Festival a great success.

According to Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung, this festival is a cultural activity with profound and practical significance, concretizing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's policies on ethnic affairs, while contributing to effectively implementing the directions of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in preserving, promoting and spreading the fine traditional culture of ethnic minorities, associated with tourism development and building grassroots cultural life.
Within the framework of the Festival, many rich and lively activities took place, all of which were imbued with the unique cultural nuances of the Muong ethnic group, vividly demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, creativity, talent and national pride. Thereby, contributing to affirming the enduring vitality of Muong ethnic culture in the unified and diverse flow of Vietnamese culture.

Sharing at the closing ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Le Ngoc Thang, Editor-in-Chief of the Ethnic and Modern Magazine, Chairman of the Arts Council, said: After 3 days of activities, the groups brought to the festival a new vitality, a strength in the value of the diverse and rich Muong ethnic cultural identity of the localities. The artisans and mass actors from 5 localities, through the activities, reflected the endogenous strength of the Muong ethnic community through folk songs, the sounds of gongs, drums, flutes, two-string instruments...; through the colors and types of costumes with shaping techniques, functions, aesthetic thinking through motifs, colors, and pattern layouts, reflecting the historical depth not only of the Muong people but also of the Vietnamese nation.

At the same time, through traditional handicraft products with diverse types related to eating, living, production labor... associated with materials such as copper, wood, bamboo, stone, plant fibers...; through activities reflecting folk knowledge and through religious activities and festivals reflecting the Muong people's philosophical views on the universe and human life.

The artisans and extras brought to the Festival a deep pride in the national cultural identity, an exciting atmosphere, solidarity, and the imprint of Muong culture at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, the common home of the community of 54 ethnic groups, a meaningful activity in the Great Ethnic Solidarity Week - Vietnam Cultural Heritage 2025" - Associate Professor, Dr. Le Ngoc Thang said.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Nguyen Thi Hai Nhung awarded the B prize to the units.
At the ceremony, based on the results of the activities according to the content of the Festival with the responsible and proud participation of Muong people from 5 provinces and cities, the Art Council agreed to award 15 A prizes, 15 B prizes and 10 C prizes for outstanding activities at the Festival.

The rich activities in the 2nd Muong Cultural Festival in 2025 vividly demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, creativity, talent and national pride.
