This pangolin, weighing approximately 4.5 kg, was discovered by a resident living on Thong Nhat Street, Duc Trong Commune, while it was crawling into their yard. After researching online and determining that it was an endangered wild animal in need of protection, the resident proactively contacted the authorities to hand it over.

Previously, the Quang Phu Forest Ranger Station ( Lam Dong province ) also received a king cobra weighing approximately 5kg, which was handed over by a local resident after being discovered while gardening near the Dak Mhang irrigation dam (Nam Nung commune). This individual was subsequently released back into its natural environment as per regulations.
It is known that both the Javan pangolin and the king cobra belong to Group IB, a category of endangered and rare forest animals that are prioritized for protection. Any act of exploiting, hunting, buying, selling, or consuming these species is strictly prohibited by law.
