Steadfastly managing your solar power system.
As the Deputy Director of the Solar Park Power Plant, Mr. Su is responsible for managing the entire operational system – from coordinating the safe and stable connection of power generators to the national grid, to technical control, ensuring occupational safety, and handling emergencies. In an environment where even a small mistake can cause significant damage, the role of the person "at the helm" becomes even more crucial.
“We work with the sun and wind,” Mr. Su shared. Behind that simple statement lies a complex operating system where millions of outdoor solar panels must operate efficiently to convert radiation into electricity. However, for him, the work is not just about production figures. An “unnamed task” that he always focuses on is caring for and listening to the concerns of his team of engineers and workers. “When the team is in good spirits, each shift runs much more smoothly,” Mr. Su said.
The unique nature of the renewable energy industry demands that professionals seamlessly combine precise technical thinking with flexible management skills. For Mr. Su, a strong professional foundation is paramount. He possesses a deep understanding of electrical systems, automation, the operating principles of inverters, SCADA monitoring systems, and stringent regulations regarding high-voltage electrical safety. This knowledge not only enables him to control operations efficiently but also serves as a "shield" protecting both the system and its personnel.
Not stopping there, he maintained a daily learning habit. In an industry with rapid technological innovation, updating knowledge is a mandatory requirement. Every evening, he spent time studying technical documents, monitoring international standards, and attending professional seminars. "Stopping learning means eliminating yourself," Mr. Su asserted.
Spreading innovative ideas and improving production efficiency.
His thirst for knowledge not only helped him improve his skills but also became the foundation for innovative initiatives in labor and production. By 2025, Mr. Su had three innovative solutions that had been implemented in practice, contributing to increased electricity production and business efficiency for the enterprise.
Among these, the initiative to install a sampling system for analyzing solar panel output is a prime example. Based on the fact that dust accumulating on the surface of solar panels reduces power generation efficiency, he proposed building a system to sample, compare, and analyze data to determine the optimal cleaning time, instead of relying on intuition.
The process was meticulously implemented, from sampling under the same conditions and comparing radiation levels at different times to analyzing power deviations before and after cleaning. The results exceeded expectations, increasing electricity production by millions of kWh annually, significantly boosting revenue, and saving the company nearly 10 billion VND in costs each year. More importantly, the scientific data system enabled employees to be more proactive in their work, improving operational efficiency.
Besides learning from books, Mr. Su also focuses on learning from practical experience and colleagues. In briefings or during field trips, he always listens to the opinions of technicians – those who directly operate the equipment. These practical experiences give him a multifaceted perspective, allowing him to make decisions that are closely aligned with the actual situation.
According to him, the working environment plays a particularly important role in the successful formation and implementation of initiatives. At Solar Park, a "teamwork" culture is highly valued. The Board of Directors always encourages a spirit of "not being afraid to make mistakes, only being afraid to try," creating conditions for every idea to be heard and tested.
Alongside this, the Trade Union also contributes to promoting the creative labor movement through timely rewarding and honoring effective initiatives. "Even an ordinary worker can become a 'Golden Innovator.' That's a huge motivation for everyone to strive harder," Mr. Su shared.
With a spirit of "continuous learning, daring to think, daring to act" and putting people at the center, Mr. Su not only participates in operations but also spreads positive energy to engineers and workers in the factory.
