As a respected figure among the Cao Lan ethnic community, Mr. Au Duc Hoi, from Ngoc Tan village (Zone 13), Ngoc Quan commune, Doan Hung district, has consistently set a good example over the years, becoming a "bridge" between the Party, the government, and the people in disseminating and mobilizing people to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and local regulations.
Mr. Au Duc Hoi, along with the Party Secretary of the residential area, regularly exchanges information and keeps abreast of the situation among the people.
Our first impression of him was his calm, simple, and open demeanor. With the responsibility and trust placed in him by the people, he has successfully carried out his duties of disseminating information and mobilizing the people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and local tasks; working together to promote good customs and traditions, eradicating outdated practices; contributing to the preservation of national cultural identity and the building of a cultured way of life.
He said: “Having earned the trust of the people, I tell myself that I must always be exemplary, regularly studying and researching the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State through books, newspapers, and mass media; selecting information from social media, and then disseminating it so that people understand and follow them. I actively participate in local activities and emulation movements, actively contribute to economic development, and help build a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland. I also always teach my children and grandchildren to be well-behaved, and each family member must always abide by the law and be conscious of maintaining security and order.”
He regularly visited and chatted with the residents to understand their thoughts and aspirations, share their difficulties, and answer their questions. When conflicts arose between families in the neighborhood, Mr. Hoi was always present, participating in mediation with an objective and insightful spirit to offer the most appropriate and reasonable opinions.
Ngoc Tan village (area 13) has over 270 households, 98% of which are Cao Lan ethnic people. To contribute to preserving the traditional culture of the Cao Lan people, Mr. Hoi always encourages the villagers to participate in cultural and artistic activities, and sports to strengthen solidarity and neighborly bonds, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the cultural traditions of their homeland. At the same time, he encourages the villagers to regularly practice and preserve the traditional culture of their ethnic group such as: Sinh Ca singing, Veo Ca singing, Chim Gau dance, shrimp catching... To date, over 98% of households in Ngoc Tan village have achieved the title of "Cultural Family"; the number of poor households has decreased to 17, and the number of near-poor households has decreased to 12.
