Information from the Customs Sub-department of Region X indicates that in April 2025, 598 businesses completed customs procedures at the sub-department's customs units, with import and export turnover reaching nearly 1.5 billion USD.
The main export items include: construction stone, clinker, wood chips, re-exported petroleum products, cement, iron and steel, garments, rattan and bamboo products, textiles, etc. Meanwhile, imports include machinery and equipment, garment raw materials and accessories, crude oil, petrochemical raw materials and accessories, coal; scrap iron and steel, paper, iron ore, etc.
From the beginning of the year until now, the value of goods imported and exported through customs checkpoints under the management of the Customs Sub-department of Region X has reached over 5.8 billion USD. This has contributed to raising the State budget revenue of the sub-department to over 6.1 trillion VND, achieving 28.4% of the assigned target.
Of this amount, the majority of the value-added tax revenue from imported crude oil by Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited accounted for over 4.7 trillion VND.
Since the beginning of the year, over 5,300 vehicles have entered and exited through border gates under the management of Customs Sub-department X. This includes over 4,600 cars and over 600 ships.
The Customs Sub-Department of Region X officially commenced operations under the new model on March 15, 2025, inheriting the functions and duties of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Customs Department and the Ninh Binh Customs Sub-Department, with its headquarters located in Thanh Hoa City. The Sub-Department is responsible for state management, organizing the enforcement of customs laws and other relevant legal regulations within Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh provinces.
