Nguyen Hong Thuan reveals the reason why he is "not in a hurry to get married".

At over 40 years old and still single, musician Nguyen Hong Thuan's love life has attracted much attention from the audience. When asked why he is still "single" at this point, he frankly said:

"Actually, there are things in life that we can decide for ourselves, for example, what we want to buy or eat. But when it comes to relationships and fate, perhaps only those who have experienced enough understand that the power of decision doesn't belong to us."

The male musician also shared that he is not in a hurry to get married. "I think I should just try to live the best life I have right now. I'm constantly improving myself. And when I meet someone who is truly suitable, having my own family is normal."

"I think by then I'll be capable enough to take care of my small family properly. Therefore, at this stage, I'm looking for a suitable partner, but I'm not in too much of a hurry," Nguyen Hong Thuan confided.

Previously, the author of songs like "Strawberry Love," "Wonderful World ," "Can't Go Back," etc., was also rumored to be romantically involved with several beautiful women in the Vietnamese entertainment industry, but he denied all of them.

Currently, Nguyen Hong Thuan serves as the Music Director of the "Singing Love Songs 2023" program (a singing game show aiming to find the most beloved singer in the lyrical and bolero music genres).

The musician, born in 1981, said that this year's competition has many differences in the themes of each night's performance. It's not just limited to the theme of romantic love, but the program also features songs about love for family, homeland, and country.

However, the musician also faced difficulties in reimagining songs that were already familiar to the public.

He confided: "There's one thing that's a bit difficult for me: should I choose songs that are currently popular, new songs that are spreading, or should I choose classic songs and reinterpret them? I was very conflicted about that and finally decided to find a balance between the two."

For example, with songs like "Diem Xua" or other songs that people used to know by heart, I had to think about how to make them sound familiar to the audience but still have something new about them. It was a difficult problem. But luckily, when I brought creativity to the stage, the contestants accepted it and diligently practiced."

Composer Nguyen Hong Thuan also revealed that at each stage of life, people have different thoughts and feelings about life, and his music has gradually changed over time.

"When I was growing up, surrounded by friends, my thoughts were solely focused on them. I didn't have the opportunity to interact with others or broaden my horizons. Then, as I grew older and began to experience love, I realized what love is like, and what those first experiences of life are like. That gave me the inspiration to write about love."

After a long period of experiencing life's challenges, at this stage – when my relatives, especially my parents, are getting older – and my parents are starting to experience illnesses, I also experience the feeling of being a child with elderly parents, and I begin to worry. These emotions and experiences have given me many thoughts that have helped me mature.

"And at this stage in my artistic career, I started to have more feelings about my homeland, my country, its people, and my parents. These are topics that I previously wanted to write about but couldn't," he added.
