Nguyen Ngoc Thuong: From dream to success

In the diverse landscape of the new generation of students, Nguyen Ngoc Thuong – a former student of Digital Economics (Faculty of Economics and Management) – stands out as a shining example. Not only does she possess an impressive academic record, but Ngoc Thuong is also a passionate student club leader, clearly demonstrating the image of a talented, beautiful, and confident agricultural student who can shine.

For Nguyen Ngoc Thuong, the Digital Economics major at the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture is not simply a prestigious choice for her four years of university studies, but also a place where she can find common ground between her abilities and interests. Having a passion for working with economic data and technical algorithms, she transformed stressful study hours into an exciting journey of discovery. Her perseverance and scientific learning methods have yielded impressive academic results, earning her a distinction degree (cumulative GPA of 3.37), a remarkable achievement for a new and challenging field of study.

Besides her studies, Ngoc Thuong is also very active in extracurricular activities and clubs. As one of the first members of the Student Club for Economic and Management Research, Ngoc Thuong and her friends laid a solid foundation for the club's development. From an academic club with just over 10 members, the number of registered members has now reached nearly 100 students. Ngoc Thuong is also honored to be the club president for the 2024-2025 term, affirming her contributions to the club.

Her efforts have been recognized with achievements in academics and scientific research, such as receiving the Encouragement Award in the Euréka Student Scientific Research Award in 2024; a certificate of merit from the Head of the Faculty of Economics and Management for outstanding academic and scientific research achievements in the 2023-2024 academic year; and a certificate of merit from the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture for outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movements in the 2023-2024 academic year. Ngoc Thuong is also a co-author of one scientific article published in the Vietnam Journal of Agricultural Sciences and one article in the proceedings of a national conference.

In particular, Ngoc Thuong also participated in a 6-month internship at the Planning and Finance Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment under the guidance of Mr. Le Minh Ba, M.Sc., specialist in the Planning and Finance Department, and Dr. Nguyen Anh Duc, lecturer in the Faculty of Economics and Management. In addition, she also participated in scientific research projects with lecturers in the Faculty through the activities of the Student Scientific Research Club. This helped her mature and adapt quickly to work in a dynamic business environment.

While waiting to receive her diploma, Ngoc Thuong successfully applied for a job and is now a data analyst at Anzani Trading and Import-Export Company Limited. Ngoc Thuong shared that her current job provides an income of approximately 20 million VND per month, not including sales bonuses. For a recent graduate from a rural background, this is a dream income. We wish Ngoc Thuong success in achieving her dreams and hope that the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture will always be a strong support system for students striving for success.
