The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is coming to an end, with the clash between PSG and Real Madrid arguably the most exciting and anticipated match in theory.
This is a clash between the two most recent Champions League winners, this year's PSG and last year's Real Madrid.

For many, this is an early final of the 2025 Club World Cup. The winner will play Chelsea for the trophy and a huge prize money.
In the quarter-finals, PSG had to struggle to overcome Bayern Munich - a team that lacked sharpness in scoring goals.
Despite playing with 2 more players in the final minutes of the match, Bayern Munich still could not score to at least bring the match into extra time.
In contrast, Ousmane Dembele took advantage of the counter-attack to seal a 2-0 victory for the French capital team.
What happened showed PSG's mettle, as well as proved Luis Enrique's words when he came to the US: his team still had the desire to conquer after reaching the top of European football.
The price to pay for the win over Bayern was red cards for Willian Pacho – the leader of the defense, the best passer of the tournament, and Lucas Hernandez.

Real Madrid also had a difficult match against Borussia Dortmund. They seemed to control the game, with a 2-0 advantage entering the 90th minute, but Xabi Alonso's team was in disarray in the extra minutes.
“Los Blancos” reached the semi-finals with a result of 3-2, with an excellent save from Courtois, and a red card for Dean Huijsen – the central defender who Alonso turned into a factor in developing the ball from the back.
Despite the wobbles, Real Madrid are improving with each game under Alonso. Gonzalo Garcia continues to score regularly, while Mbappe has just returned and scored a great goal to warm up for the battle with his old team PSG.
“We are motivated by the final, not by facing Mbappe,” midfielder Fabian Ruiz said, explaining his and his teammates’ motivation when facing Real Madrid.
Mbappe was more or less the focus of the semi-final at MetLife. He has had a lot of controversy with PSG in recent times (he has just withdrawn his harassment complaint against his former club).

However, the possibility of Mbappe starting is still open. Gonzalo is very effective and plays good pressing.
The match was expected to be a high-pressure affair. Both Luis Enrique and Xabi Alonso, although with different styles, require high intensity, wide runs and accurate passing in tight spaces.
Opta analysis predicts that PSG have a 47.4% chance of winning in 90 minutes; reaching the final (including extra time or penalties) is 58.7%. The difference is not too high, when the supercomputer simulation rate of Real Madrid is 27.3% and 41.3%.
