On the night of December 3, heavy rains occurred in some areas, causing landslides on the Mimosa Pass slope on National Highway 20, with rocks and soil flowing down and trees falling onto the road. On National Highway 20, D'ran Pass also experienced landslides when rocks and soil from the slope near Xeo Bridge flowed down, covering the road surface. In the downstream area, water from the upstream area in Da Lat poured down, causing deep flooding on National Highway 20 through Hiep Thanh Commune. Also on December 3, Gia Bac Pass on National Highway 28 through Son Dien Commune continued to experience severe landslides. Accordingly, there were 5 landslides recorded, of which 1 large-scale point buried the entire road surface, paralyzing traffic in both directions, including dozens of cars stuck in the middle of the pass at night. Authorities had to set up a checkpoint and request vehicles to turn around. On the morning of December 4, the locality organized forces to level and clear the scene to soon clear the landslide routes.

According to Lam Dong province leaders, the reconstruction of the post-flood traffic network has become an urgent task for Lam Dong province. With the high determination of the government and the efforts of the construction force, by noon on December 4, many major roads that were eroded and cut off had been repaired and opened to traffic. For some other key traffic routes that have experienced landslides and subsidence, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the relevant agencies to temporarily repair them to ensure traffic flow. In the long term, the locality will hire consulting units to comprehensively assess the locations at risk to promptly implement solidification projects, in order to minimize landslides and subsidence, ensuring safe and smooth traffic routes.

Regarding the recovery of the consequences of recent floods, on the morning of December 3, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee started building houses for people affected by floods in D'ran commune. According to the decision of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, families whose houses were completely collapsed will be supported by the province with the cost of building houses at a rate of 120 million VND/house. Families whose houses were damaged, depending on the level of damage, will be supported with repair costs at a rate of 20 - 40 million VND/house. People can receive houses built by the government or receive money to build and repair themselves with the support of military forces, police, youth, and volunteers. Completion time is before January 15, 2026. In order to quickly restore production, recently, specialized agencies together with the military, police and youth forces have deployed many synchronous measures such as environmental treatment, disinfection of barns, disease control, dredging of canals, ditches, and streams, and land preparation for the new crop.

With a budget of 500 billion VND and 1,000 tons of rice supported by the Central Government, Lam Dong province has urgently provided 97 billion VND to 30 damaged communes and wards to support people in renting houses, ensuring their lives, and supporting students. The remaining 403 billion VND will be allocated and disbursed directly to people and localities as soon as possible. 1,000 tons of rice have been allocated to 40 communes and wards to provide to people. Recently, Lam Dong province has also received more than 50 tons of goods, necessities, and books donated by units, organizations, and individuals and delivered to people.

In the coming days, in Lam Dong province, there will be rain, landslides and floods may continue to occur. The Provincial People's Committee has requested local authorities and functional forces to continue to focus on evacuating people from dangerous areas, quickly stabilize people's lives, arrange safe temporary accommodation, and ensure adequate supply of essential necessities. Absolutely do not let people return to dangerous areas when safety is not guaranteed, and at the same time request localities to proactively plan emergency support and promptly make full statistics of damage to have solutions to overcome.
