Many "Customer Appreciation" activities were organized by Quang Tri Power Company during Tet.

The series of "Customer Appreciation" activities of Quang Tri Power Company (PC Quang Tri) in January 2024 demonstrated the appreciation and special recognition of the staff and workers of the power industry towards electricity customers through business activities, customer service, and social welfare work.

This year's "Customer Appreciation" activities coincided with the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024, so Quang Tri Power Company (PC Quang Tri) decided to organize community-oriented activities, focusing on supporting people in disadvantaged areas to help them have a more fulfilling and comfortable Tet holiday. The Youth Union of PC Quang Tri, in coordination with the Youth Union of Quang Tri Petroleum Company, organized the "Spring of Love, Tet of Sharing" program in Ta Pang village, Huong Lap commune, Huong Hoa district.

Through this program, the youth of the two units presented 31 gifts, each worth 300,000 VND, to disadvantaged families in the village. They also donated many clothes to the children, with a total value exceeding 10 million VND.

Mr. Ho Van Xung happily stated: "The people in Ta Pang village have long faced many difficulties in their lives, but this Tet holiday, some poor households received gifts from businesses. The people are very happy because they have money to buy things for Tet and can have a better Tet than in previous years."

Ta Pang village, home to 150 Van Kieu ethnic minority people, is the last village in Huong Lap commune bordering the Vietnam-Laos border, with very difficult access roads. Due to the mountainous and rugged terrain and sparse population, the economic and basic living conditions of the people here are very limited. Through this "Spring of Love, Tet of Sharing" program, Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee has shared, encouraged, and brought joy to the people in the highlands, helping them have a warmer Tet holiday.

According to Phan Gia Duong, Director of Khe Sanh Power Company, this year's "Customer Appreciation" activities focus on promoting awareness among the people about safe, economical, and efficient electricity use, especially during the Lunar New Year; and also providing free electrical repairs for some disadvantaged households in Ta Pang village, Huong Lap commune, Huong Hoa district, by inspecting power lines, replacing circuit breakers free of charge, and providing guidance on safe and economical electricity use and not planting trees near power lines to avoid safety hazards.

Also as part of the "Customer Appreciation" program, through charitable activities aimed at the community, PC Quang Tri, in coordination with the Hai Lang District Youth Union, organized the "Spring of Love: Lighting Up the Dreams of Vietnamese Children" program in 2024, awarding 5 gifts worth 2.5 million VND to 5 disadvantaged students at Thien Thanh Primary and Secondary School (Hai Dinh commune, Hai Lang district).

Among the students who received gifts from the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee this time, there are three with particularly difficult circumstances: Tran Thi Linh Nhi, whose mother was injured in a work accident and whose father is unemployed; and Le Van Nhat An and Hoang Thi Thao Nguyen, both orphans whose mothers have passed away and who come from large families facing many hardships. These gifts aim to encourage and motivate them to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies, while also bringing joy to their families during the Lunar New Year celebrations.

Every year, during the New Year season, the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee visits and gives Tet gifts to underprivileged children being cared for at the Dong Ha City Street Children's Center and the Quang Tri School for Children with Disabilities.

This year, the company donated 20 million VND to support the Dong Ha City Street Children's Care Center and presented 12 gifts worth 500,000 VND each to 12 children living and studying at the center. They also donated 20 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to children at the Quang Tri Provincial School for Children with Disabilities. These are meaningful annual social welfare activities of PC Quang Tri's staff and employees, following the motto "Each individual and organization is linked to a humanitarian cause," which the company has actively supported for many years.

According to Nguyen Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice President of the Quang Tri Power Company's Trade Union, this is a regular activity of the Quang Tri Power Company aimed at sharing the difficulties faced by underprivileged students, workers in difficult circumstances, and disadvantaged families of policy beneficiaries during the Lunar New Year.

Following the principle of "a little help in times of need is worth more than a lot in times of plenty," especially during Tet (Lunar New Year) or the lean season, the unit's Trade Union often organizes charitable activities to visit, give gifts, and provide support to those in difficult circumstances. Through these humanitarian and charitable activities, they contribute to encouraging and helping those in need overcome immediate obstacles and strive to improve their lives.
