One afternoon, I borrowed the electric bike from home to go for a ride along the beach. On the way back, as we reached the slope of Tran Phu Bridge, the battery started to run low, and the bike slowed down little by little. The road up the bridge wasn't long, but it was enough to make me worried. As I was struggling to push the bike up the slope, I suddenly heard a young woman's voice calling from behind:
- Excuse me, sir, do you need any help?
Instinctively, the child quickly replied:
- No, sister, I'm fine.
The girl asked again:
- Is your bike out of battery? Let me push it for you.

Bringing clean water to people in mountainous areas. For the people of Tay Khanh Vinh, Trung Khanh Vinh, and Bac Khanh Vinh communes, having access to clean water has been a long-awaited dream. As water supply projects are completed one after another, the flow of clean water to each village in the ethnic minority and mountainous areas not only meets daily living needs but also contributes to improving the quality of life for the people.
The Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religion worked with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province on the implementation of national target programs in ethnic minority areas. On June 29, 2026, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, and his delegation held a working session with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to discuss the results of the implementation of the National Target Program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas (2021-2025) and the implementation of the National Target Program for building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas (2026-2035), Phase I: from 2026 to 2030 (National Target Program 417). Accompanying the delegation were Comrade Quang Van Huong, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council, and leaders from various ministries and agencies. Receiving and working with the delegation were Comrades Nguyen Viet Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thanh Ha - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chamaléa Thi Thuy - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religion, along with representatives of leaders from relevant departments, agencies, and localities. It was then that I turned around to look closely. They were two young girls, yet they were willing to stop their bikes to help a complete stranger. I suddenly felt a little embarrassed for my overly cautious reaction.
The little girl politely thanked the two boys and continued pushing the cart. After a short distance, another young man stopped his motorbike and asked if she needed help. A few dozen meters later, an older man also turned his motorbike around with the same question. Just a short stretch of slope on the bridge, and three complete strangers were willing to stop.
That evening, the whole family sat down for dinner. The child recounted the story with emotion. She said that years living in a big city had made her accustomed to being cautious, but in Nha Trang , the simple questions from strangers had changed her perspective.
I sat and listened, feeling a warmth in my heart. Born and raised in this seaside town, sometimes we ourselves forget how precious the kindness around us is. Ordinary people, students leaving school, a young man or an elderly person, are all willing to stop just to ask, "Do you need any help?" Perhaps it is the peacefulness of this land that has nurtured trust between people. And it is these very small acts that leave such a strong impression on those who visit for the first time.
The electric scooter only ran out of battery for a few minutes that day. But the story of the kindness of the people of Nha Trang will surely stay with me for a long time. Just a short stretch of slope on the Tran Phu bridge was enough for me to understand that the kindness of the people of Nha Trang is even greater than the bridge itself...
