To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), on the morning of December 19th in Vientiane, the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos, the Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School, and the 19/5 Art Troupe jointly organized the art program "The Color of Red Flowers."

The event was attended by representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos; representatives from the Association of Vietnamese People in Vientiane; and a large number of staff, teachers, and students from the Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School.

According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Vientiane, speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Principal of Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School, said that this event has immense significance in contributing to preserving and fostering the good, pure, and loyal relationship between Laos and Vietnam. She also emphasized that, under the roof of this school, in addition to teaching, each teacher carries a noble responsibility as a pioneer and active contributor to the development of the Vietnamese language in the school, acting as ambassadors to spread the thousand-year-old culture and people of Vietnam to the friends of the beautiful Land of a Million Elephants.

At the performance, artists and students from the Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School presented the audience with unique artistic performances that reflected the rich cultural identity, praised President Ho Chi Minh and the great friendship between Vietnam and Laos, and celebrated love for the country and its people.

In addition, circus and magic performances from artists of the Vietnam Circus Federation brought a vibrant and exciting atmosphere to the audience, especially the students, and it was even more appealing when the students had the opportunity to directly interact and perform with the artists.

Through activities like these, it not only serves as a bridge for cultural exchange, but more importantly, it is a symbol of solidarity and friendship between the people of Vietnam and Laos.

According to the organizers, this cultural event is of great significance, contributing to preserving and fostering the exemplary, loyal, and pure relationship, "unparalleled" in the world , a priceless shared asset of the two Parties and two nations for future generations, so that the Vietnam-Laos relationship will "forever be stronger than mountains and rivers," as affirmed by President Kaysone Phomvihane.

The people of Vietnam and Laos are always proud of the close similarities between the two nations in history, geography, and culture. The intertwined destinies of the two nations have formed a strong alliance fighting against a common enemy, sharing joys and sorrows, standing shoulder to shoulder to overcome countless difficulties in the liberation of the nation, the unification of the country, as well as in the current process of national construction and development.
