| People in Duong Hong village who grow ginger through cooperative farming earn high incomes. |
Concluding a challenging year in 2025, Duong Hong's socio -economic landscape emerges with many positive aspects and stable growth. The commune successfully met and exceeded 20 targets assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and 30 out of 32 targets assigned by the Commune People's Council. Specifically, total grain production reached over 7,759 tons; 120 hectares of ginger were cultivated under a cooperative model yielding high income; 58 hectares of new forest were planted; and state budget revenue in the area reached over 604 million VND, achieving 113.8% of the projected target.
Administrative reform efforts have made a significant impact, with the Public Administrative Service Center receiving and processing 991 applications, including 982 online applications, achieving a rate of 99.1%. The commune completed the renovation and repair of 297 temporary and dilapidated houses for residents; organized job counseling and placement services for hundreds of workers; and fully implemented policies supporting poor households, families entitled to preferential policies, and social welfare beneficiaries.
In addition, healthcare, education , and culture continue to receive investment. School facilities have been put into use, and many repair projects are being urgently completed in the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year. Medical examination and treatment services are maintained, with thousands of people receiving healthcare. Disease prevention and control programs are implemented effectively, preventing outbreaks in the area.
However, Duong Hong commune also frankly acknowledges its limitations: agricultural production is still small-scale, there is a shortage of highly skilled labor, and the large geographical area makes management and task implementation difficult. Identifying 2026 as a pivotal year to achieve the goals of the commune's Party Congress resolution for the entire term, Duong Hong commune sets the following targets: achieving a local budget revenue of over 347 million VND, an average per capita income of 30 million VND; continuing to promote agricultural and forestry production towards a commodity-based approach; planting 50 hectares of new forest; and developing livestock farming through integrated, bio-secure supply chains.
The percentage of schools meeting national standards at all levels reached 44.4%; 180 new jobs were created, short-term vocational training was provided for 250 unskilled workers, and the poverty rate decreased by 5.0%. Regarding infrastructure, the commune accelerated the completion of projects under national target programs; extended the national power grid to villages lacking electricity; continued to pave rural roads, repair irrigation systems and clean water systems, and beautify the commune center.
In particular, the focus is on digital transformation, the strong application of science and technology in production and daily life; the full and timely implementation of policies for war veterans, poor households, and ethnic minorities; improving the quality of education and basic healthcare; and preserving and promoting traditional cultural values associated with tourism development. Simultaneously, there is a determination to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, maintaining political security and social order. All of this is aimed at improving the quality of life and satisfaction of the people.
Tran Manh Tuyen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Duong Hong commune, shared: "The road ahead will still be full of difficulties, but the entire Party Committee, government, and people of Duong Hong commune share a common belief and determination to strive to complete and exceed the targets and tasks in 2026, creating momentum for sustainable growth for the entire term and the next phase."
