Typhoon No. 3 left behind extensive damage across all aspects of socio -economic life. After more than a week of urgent damage repair efforts, people's lives are gradually returning to normal and stabilizing.

The East-West-South-North Shopping Center in Tu Hiep commune, Ha Hoa district, ensures sufficient goods to meet the shopping needs of the people.

As the most severely affected area, Ha Hoa district has 28 isolated zones with nearly 1,000 households. Currently, the floodwaters have completely receded, and authorities and the local people are actively implementing measures to mitigate the aftermath of the storm and floods.

Business has returned to normal at the central market in Ha Hoa town.

In Ha Hoa town, from early morning, traffic was bustling on all the roads. Local markets, shops, and supermarkets had reopened, ensuring a sufficient and diverse supply of goods. Residents also quickly cleaned and rearranged their homes to stabilize their lives.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Chung from Zone 8 said: “My family runs a bread-making business, so many pieces of equipment in the workshop are very heavy. But thanks to the early intervention of the authorities and the assistance of functional forces, as soon as the flood warning was issued, my family was able to promptly raise and move the equipment to a safe place. Now my family has cleaned up the house and resumed production and business.”

The streets around the Ha Hoa District Health Center have been cleaned and sanitized after the storm.

The area around the Ha Hoa District Medical Center was severely flooded in recent days, requiring patients to use boats to reach the examination and treatment areas. The water has now completely receded. Authorities, along with local residents and sanitation workers, have cleaned up and disposed of waste around the Medical Center, ensuring environmental hygiene and safety for people visiting for medical treatment.

After the floods subsided, students of all levels were able to return to school after days of school closures to avoid the rising water levels. Nguyen Linh Nhi, a 4th-grade student at Dan Thuong 2 Primary School in Dan Thuong commune, excitedly shared: "After the school closures due to the floods, my friends and I are back at school. I've prepared all my books and clothes to return to school. My school has also been cleaned and sanitized, ensuring a good learning environment for us."

Youth union members mobilized to clean up and sanitize Hien Luong market in Hien Luong commune, Ha Hoa district.

Hien Luong commune was one of the communes severely affected by the floods, but people's lives are gradually returning to normal . According to Mr. Le Dang Hung, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee: "As soon as the water receded, the authorities and the people worked together to clean up roads and repair and reinforce houses. In particular, the Ha Hoa District People's Committee mobilized nearly 400 people to combat flooding around the Mau Temple area because the water couldn't drain properly. Along with other forces, the district mobilized nearly 10 mobile pumps to drain the floodwaters and opened two sluice gates under the dike. To date, the Mau Temple area has been largely drained."

Youth union members launched a campaign to clean up and sanitize roads in Man Lan commune, Thanh Ba district.

In Thanh Ba district, over 150 households had to be relocated due to flooding, mainly concentrated in the communes of Man Lan, Hoang Cuong, and Chi Tien. In Man Lan commune alone, approximately 200 households were affected. As soon as the river water receded, the commune mobilized about 80 people to clean up and sanitize the environment. Simultaneously, the commune's health station, in coordination with village health workers, distributed and instructed households to spray disinfectant to clean houses and livestock pens, and to rinse and disinfect well water to prevent disease outbreaks after the flood. They also carried out the burial and sanitation of livestock and poultry carcasses washed ashore by the river according to regulations. To date, the recovery efforts have been largely completed, and daily life for the people in the district has returned to normal.

Although there are still many difficulties and a long time to rebuild the damage and losses caused by the floods, with the unity and joint efforts of the Party committee, the government, functional forces and the people, normal life has gradually returned to the people after the natural disaster. People have quickly stabilized their homes and continued to strive in labor and production.
