
Binh Dong and Ho Tieu hamlets in An Phu commune are famous gladiolus flower cultivation areas in the Central region. Nearly 100 households in the commune cultivate gladiolus flowers on an area of over 20 hectares, supplying the market for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
This year, the weather has been favorable, resulting in beautiful, vibrant flowers that are free from pests and diseases. With selling prices ranging from 40,000 to 70,000 VND per dozen, the locals are delighted because the flowers are in season and fetching good prices.
Besides gladioli, households in An Phu commune also grow a variety of other flowers such as roses, chrysanthemums, lilies, carnations, and sunflowers to meet the market demand for Tet (Lunar New Year) both within and outside the province.
An Phu commune is currently in the busiest and most bustling flower harvesting season, ensuring that the flowers reach consumers in time for the Lunar New Year. The bountiful harvest and high prices for Tet flowers are creating an atmosphere of excitement across the flower fields, promising a prosperous and joyful Tet season for flower-growing farmers in An Phu commune.
