| A large number of people from Duc Xuan ward participated in making banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) to send as gifts to the flood-affected areas in the southern part of the province. |
At the community center in Hamlet 10, from afternoon until late at night, a lively and warm atmosphere permeated the air. Green banana leaves, white sticky rice, pork... were meticulously prepared by the villagers. Some washed the leaves, others wrapped the cakes, and still others lit the fire; everyone contributed with a common desire: to quickly send a little warmth and share with those areas besieged by floods.
Over 500 banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) were wrapped by residents of Duc Xuan ward in one night. The banana leaves, sticky rice, and pork were all donated by the locals. Everyone worked diligently, their efforts filled with warmth and camaraderie.
Ms. Pham Thi Lien, from Group 10, Duc Xuan Ward, shared: "We wrapped the cakes with all our hearts. Each cake we send is a word of encouragement, hoping that the people in the flooded areas will soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives."
Unlike previous years, this time all the cakes were vacuum-sealed before shipping. This method helps preserve the cakes for longer and, more importantly, prevents them from getting wet or damaged if they accidentally fall into water. It's a seemingly small detail, but it demonstrates the thoughtfulness, responsibility, and deep affection of the people of Duc Xuan ward.

| 500 sticky rice cakes (Banh Chung) from Duc Xuan were sent as a gesture of solidarity to people in flood-affected areas. |
The finished banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) are neatly arranged and labeled "Banh chung sent to flood-affected areas - Duc Xuan, Thai Nguyen ". From here, these cakes will travel along muddy roads, carrying the taste of home and the affection of people from the North to their compatriots in the flooded areas.
Amidst the floods, sticky rice cakes (bánh chưng) are not just food, but also represent faith and human connection. Despite geographical distance, the people of Thai Nguyen always reach out to each other, uniting to overcome difficulties – allowing love and compassion to spread, warming the hearts of the people during these days of heavy rain and flooding.
