The Quang Tri Power Grid Live Repair Team was formed by taking over two live grid repair teams from the Central Power Service Company, and simultaneously merging personnel, vehicles, and equipment from the former Quang Binh Power Company and the former Quang Tri Power Company.
This unit is considered the "elite" of Quang Tri Power Company, with personnel meeting many stringent requirements, such as: excellent technical skills, good health and mental state, and a high sense of organizational discipline. Currently, the Quang Tri Power Grid Live Repair Team has 37 officers and employees, organized into 4 working groups: Dong Hoi 1, Dong Hoi 2, Dong Ha 1, and Dong Ha 2.
Mr. Le Ngoc Dinh, Team Leader of the Live Line Repair Team of Quang Tri Power Company, said: “With the strict requirements of the job, before starting a shift, the entire team must coordinate to conduct a thorough survey and inspection of the site. Then, they will hold a meeting to plan the steps to be taken, assign specific tasks to each member, ensuring that the process is absolutely accurate, smooth, quick, and follows the correct procedures. Live line repair helps minimize power outage time for customers. Instead of having to cut off power to the entire area to carry out repairs, the work can be done directly on the live grid, ensuring that electricity is still supplied continuously. This not only helps people live normally but also does not disrupt the operations of businesses…”

Over the past period, the Quang Tri Power Grid Live Repair Team has gradually affirmed its important role in the management and operation of the power grid. Through carrying out repair, maintenance, and connection work on live power lines and equipment, the team has contributed to minimizing power outages for customers and significantly improving the reliability index of power supply.
In 2025, the team performed a total of 885 live-line repairs, resulting in an estimated saving of approximately 400 minutes in the system's average power outage time and a fourfold reduction in the average number of power outages, contributing to improved power quality and customer satisfaction.
“According to the plan set out for 2026, the team will carry out more than 1,000 live-line repair tasks. To successfully complete this task, the team will focus on improving labor discipline, standardizing technical procedures, strengthening skills training and handling real-life situations. The highest goal is to ensure absolute safety for workers, and to focus on improving the quality and efficiency of each live-line repair task on the power grid…”, added the team leader of the live-line repair team of PC Quang Tri.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Phi, Deputy Director of Quang Tri Power Company, emphasized: “In 2026, the company has identified live-line repair as a key solution to improve the reliability of electricity supply and customer service quality. Accordingly, Quang Tri Power Company will focus on investing in more modern equipment, promoting the application of new technologies, and creating conditions for live-line repair teams to receive in-depth training to meet the increasingly high demands of power grid operation.”
With the goals set for 2026, the unsung heroes in orange uniforms of the Quang Tri Power Grid Live Repair Team are continuing to dedicate their strength, intellect, and passion to contributing to the safe and continuous operation of the power grid, serving the economic and social development and the lives of the people in the area.
