Born in the land of fishing, from a woman who makes traditional fish sauce and only sells it to people in the area, until now, Ms. Dang Thi Luan - Director of Chien seafood purchasing and processing cooperative Thang (Ky Ninh commune, Ky Anh town) has brought Ky Anh sea specialties to the international market with the brand name Luan Nghiep fish sauce.
Female director Dang Thi Luan shared: “In 2016, I set up the Chien Thang Seafood Purchasing and Processing Cooperative, but soon after, a marine environmental incident occurred, so the cooperative almost had to suspend operations. . Undeterred, in 2018 I was determined to revive the cooperative and in 2019, we successfully built a 3-star OCOP-standard fish sauce brand. By 2020, Luan Nghiep fish sauce will be upgraded to 4-star OCOP. Currently, the cooperative has 4 3-star and 4-star OCOP products including: fish sauce, peanut rimmed fish, fish sauce, and instant jellyfish. In addition to domestic consumption, recently, the cooperative's fish sauce has been officially exported to Russia. The most honorable thing is that the cooperative was awarded a certificate of merit by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for its outstanding achievements in implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in the 2018-2020 period.
Every year, Chien Thang Cooperative sells nearly 100.000 liters of fish sauce.
Hoa Hao Food Processing Facility (Pho Chau town, Huong Son) owned by Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoa specializes in producing cotton balls, beef jerky, minced meat with shrimp paste, dried chicken with lemon leaves... This year is 64 years old but Ms. Hoa still regularly participates in trade promotion fairs in provinces and cities to seek market development opportunities for the establishment's products.
It is known that Ms. Hoa started making cotton balls and dried beef for sale around 1993, when she was a secretary at Son Diem Primary School. Since 2012, she retired and started mass production for the market. In 2020, Ms. Hoa decided to invest in equipment, expand the facility, raise the scale of production to participate in the OCOP program and by the end of the year, the establishment's dried beef and ham products will meet 3-star standards. .
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa participated in a trade promotion fair in Hanoi at the end of 2022.
“In the beginning, I made cotton balls and dried beef and sold them to improve my income because my salary was not enough for my expenses. Now, this profession has brought the main income of the family. Thanks to OCOP standards, quality assurance, and prestige in the market, product consumption is quite good. Currently, on average, the facility uses nearly 5 tons of pork and more than 3 tons of beef every month for production, "- Ms. Hoa shared.
