TPO - Towards the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 3 - March 1931, 26), on March 3, Nghia Dan District (Nghe An) coordinated with the Red Cross , the District Trade Union organized the first blood donation festival in 2024.

Although the weather was cold and rainy, from early morning, thousands of people, civil servants, public employees, and youth union members were present to register to participate in blood donation with an excited spirit and a vibrant atmosphere. |

Mr. Truong Hung Dung - Deputy Secretary of Doan Nghia Dan District (left) has donated blood voluntarily 13 times. He said he started donating blood since he was a student. Later, when he became a Youth Union officer and had access to many activities, he felt and understood more meaningful things from blood donation. “Every drop of blood given – A life left behind.” By sharing my blood, I have contributed to maintaining the lives of patients in need of blood," Mr. Dung shared. |

This is the 16th time that Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang, a member of the Party and Youth Union branch of Nghia Dan district (black shirt) has participated in donating blood. She was also commended by the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Nghe An province. “Donating blood is a noble gesture. Every time departments and branches launch events, I try to arrange time to participate," Ms. Trang confided. |

At the end of the festival, over 730 units of blood were received. These precious drops of blood will contribute to solving the current blood shortage situation in hospitals, while bringing faith and hope for life to patients. |
