The whole province has 70/121 communes meeting NTM standards.

Implementing Resolution No. 55/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council, up to now, the whole Tuyen Quang province has completed concreting 901.08km of rural roads and intra-field roads out of a total of 1,080km of the plan for the whole period; built 161/200 bridges for the whole period.

It is expected that by the end of 2024, over 80% of village roads will be concreted, and over 65% of intra-field roads will be concreted, completing the Resolution's goals, thereby gradually removing "bottlenecks" for rural traffic and building new rural areas in the locality. The rate of schools meeting national standards at all levels: preschool 55.3%, primary 74.2%, secondary 68.2%, high school 31.4%.

The whole province has 96.4% of communes, wards and towns meeting national criteria on commune health ; 100% of communes have communal cultural houses. It is expected that by the end of 2024, the province's poverty rate will decrease to 10.95%. Notably, 100% of ethnic minority communes in the province have car roads to the commune center; the rate of households using the national grid and other power sources is over 99.9%.

Up to now, Tuyen Quang has had 70/121 communes meeting the new rural standards, of which 14 communes have met the advanced new rural standards, 02 communes have met the model new rural standards, and Tuyen Quang city has completed the task of building new rural areas.

By the end of 2024, Tuyen Quang province strives to have 18 more communes meeting the standards of new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas, including 11 communes meeting the standards of new rural areas, 5 communes meeting the standards of advanced new rural areas, and 2 communes meeting the standards of model new rural areas.

To achieve this result, in recent times, local Party committees and authorities in Tuyen Quang province have implemented policies and integrated programs, projects in communes, attracting many resources, arousing the potential strength of the people, contributing to changing the face of the countryside, improving the material and spiritual life of the people; thereby gradually completing the goals of the Program for the period of 2021-2025.

Promoting the role of the people as the subject

Identifying people as beneficiaries in building new rural areas, in recent years, local Party committees and authorities in Tuyen Quang province have focused on promoting the role of people in implementing the Program, especially in directly participating in specific tasks to complete the criteria for building new rural areas.

Mr. Do Van Hoa, Vice Chairman of Ham Yen District People's Committee shared: In recent times, Ham Yen District has done a good job of propaganda, mobilization, and promoting the role of the people as the main subject and core in building new rural areas. Thereby, it has promoted internal strength, created consensus, and positive response from the people, bringing the New Rural Construction Program into depth, efficiency, and sustainability.

“Currently, Ham Yen district has 13/17 communes recognized as meeting new rural standards, Duc Ninh commune is an advanced new rural commune, Binh Xa commune is a model new rural commune. The district has met 5/9 criteria for a new rural district, in the remaining 4 criteria, many targets have been met, striving to complete 9/9 criteria for a new rural district by the end of 2024,” Mr. Hoa added.

According to Mr. Sam Van Dai (Binh Xa commune, Ham Yen district), the people joining hands with the government to build an advanced new rural area, a model new rural area is not a big deal. Specifically, his family always complies with the regulations of the locality where they live, takes care of the family's economic development, actively participates in environmental sanitation work, contributes to supporting working days in building cultural houses, building concrete roads in rural areas, and canals in the fields; eats and lives hygienically, contributing to building a new cultural life.

Thanks to the efforts of each individual and each family contributing to the common development of the community and society, the picture of Tuyen Quang's new countryside is increasingly filled with bright colors.

In particular, the level of satisfaction with the construction of the new rural areas of the people is considered an accurate measure of the results of the construction of the new rural areas of the localities in Tuyen Quang province. Through collecting opinions to grasp the thoughts, aspirations, proposals and promote the role of the people as masters, expressing the will, aspirations and participation of the people in supervising the construction of the new rural areas.

Accordingly, from 2021 to September 2024, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Tuyen Quang province collected opinions from people in 31 communes of districts and cities with the result that 96.86% of the people surveyed were satisfied with the results of new rural construction.
