(Dan Tri) - Tourists coming to Thailand during the end of the year and New Year can participate in cultural, traditional and artistic festivals in Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Pattaya, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
Bangkok is one of the top destinations to welcome the New Year. In 2022, CNN Travel selected the Thai capital as one of the ten best places to celebrate New Year's Eve. This year, Bangkok continues to host many big events such as: Amazing Thailand Countdown 2025 on December 31 at Nagaraphirom Park on the Chao Phraya River. Visitors will be able to admire the special light and sound show, especially at Wat Arun.

At the end of the year, Bangkok also hosts the Vijit Chao Phraya event from November 16 to December 15. This event features a light and sound show on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, combining advanced technology with traditional culture.
In addition, Iconsiam Amazing Thailand Countdown 2025, taking place from December 29 to December 31 at River Park, Iconsiam. The event will feature a 1,400m fireworks display along the river and musical performances by many international artists, including Lisa.
Other events such as Centralworld Bangkok Countdown 2025 and Siam Paragon Countdown 2025 are also held at Centralworld, Paragon Park.
From December 11 to December 15, the Hidden Gem Food Festival takes place at River Park, Iconsiam, featuring activities to enjoy the quintessence of local cuisine and admire the beauty of Thai culture.

From Bangkok, visitors can easily travel to neighboring cities to participate in year-end festival activities.
In Pattaya, the Pattaya Countdown 2025 event with the theme "The Fantastic Beach" takes place from December 29 to December 31 at Pattaya Beach. In addition, the Pattaya International Jazz Festival 2024 is held from December 6 to December 7 at the central Pattaya Beach with performances by world-famous Thai jazz artists.
Wonderfruit 2024 takes place from December 12 to December 16 at The Fields, Siam Country Club. This is a festival combining music performances, workshops and cuisine.

In Ayutthaya - a world cultural heritage - the Ayutthaya World Heritage Fair 2024 is held from December 13 to December 22 at the Ayutthaya Historical Park. The event features large-scale light and sound shows, historical exhibitions, and cultural performances that recreate the ancient Thai way of life through nostalgic parades and traditional markets.

Chiang Mai in winter not only has cool air, but is also full of flowers. Some notable events here include: Winter Festival Chiang Mai takes place from December 4 to December 10 at Rimping Supermarket, with light and sound performances and a Christmas market of more than 100 stalls; Charming Chiang Mai Flower Festival from November 29, 2024 to January 5, 2025; Amazing Chiang Mai Countdown 2025 from December 21 to the first day of the new year at Chiang Mai Chaloem Phrakiat Park including music, light, hot air balloon and fireworks festivals.

Just over three hours away from Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai is an emerging tourist city with its own unique charm. Visitors can combine Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai travel into one route to participate in many festival activities, including the 11th Doi Tung Colors (Winter WonderDoi), taking place from December 4, 2024 - January 26, 2025 on weekends and holidays.
