One is an adult working on an industrial production line, the other is still a university student. Their common ground is a love for their profession, a relentless pursuit of learning, and a desire to create value through knowledge and skills.
The female engineer is always looking for "areas that need improvement".
For Nguyen Thi Ha, ten years as a production engineer in the Fermentation Department of Saigon Beer - Nghe Tinh Joint Stock Company has been a journey filled with emotions, as she chose a profession that many still believe is not suitable for women.
For many, technology and engineering are dry fields, but for this female engineer, a graduate of the Food Engineering Department at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, it's an environment for exploration , creativity, and continuous improvement. Therefore, since joining the profession in 2016, she has worked with dedication and responsibility, and has come up with many useful initiatives.

Ms. Ha shared that, in the production line, she pays particular attention to the brewing stage – the step that determines the efficiency of soluble solids recovery and wort yield. Even a small change in operating conditions can affect the efficiency of the entire batch of beer.
Based on her experience in production, she persistently monitored each technical parameter, comparing the results after each brewing batch to identify areas that needed optimization. This process led to the innovation "Improving the brewing process to optimize the recovery of dissolved substances and increase wort yield".
Behind this initiative were dozens of parameter adjustments, tests, and verifications conducted directly on the production line. This meticulousness and perseverance ensured the solution's stable operation, contributing to improved efficiency and product quality.

In addition to improving the cooking process, she also participated in adjusting the techniques in many product lines to stabilize quality, save raw materials, and improve production efficiency.
Besides her professional work, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha is also an active participant in the unit's extracurricular activities, receiving praise and recognition from the Board of Directors. Between her work and collective activities, she embodies the image of a simple, enthusiastic young engineer who always chooses to live and work responsibly, committed to pursuing her chosen passion.
The journey from the classroom to practice.
If Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha represents young engineers in the business world, then Phan Van Quyet embodies the image of a generation of engineering students who are gradually maturing through practical experience.
As the Vice President of the Student Union of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Vinh University of Technology and Education, Quyết not only fulfills the role of a Youth Union and Student Union officer but also impresses with his academic achievements and vocational training even while still in school.

During his studies, Quyết quickly gained practical experience by working at a company in the province. The combination of theory and practice helped Quyết accumulate experience, hone his professional skills, and develop a professional work ethic in a technical environment.
The year 2025 marked several notable achievements for Phan Van Quyet - winning first prize in the "Young Talents of TH" competition held at Vinh University of Technology and Education. The competition was designed in two parts: theory and practice, requiring contestants to have both a solid foundation of knowledge and practical professional skills.
In the theoretical round, Quyết demonstrated a solid foundation in his specialized knowledge, thus securing a place among the top 12 contestants to advance to the practical round. In this round, contestants were divided into groups and directly participated in handling highly technical tasks such as inspecting and repairing automotive electrical systems, disassembling and assembling engines, and measuring technical components. With seamless teamwork and the ability to flexibly apply his learned knowledge, Phan Văn Quyết and his team successfully completed all requirements and won first place overall.

In 2025, Quyet won the Encouragement Prize in the "Startup Ideas and Projects for Young People in Nghe An Province" competition with his project on recycling waste cooking oil into fuel for diesel engines, contributing to reducing emissions and protecting the environment.
With a GPA of 3.72/4.0, Quyet was recognized as an outstanding student and received a Certificate of Merit from the Central Youth Union for his achievements in Youth Union activities and school youth movements.
Besides studying and researching, volunteer experiences have also left a lasting impression on this male student. During a volunteer program in Chau Phong commune, formerly Quy Chau district (now Hung Chan commune), Quyet and his friends participated in repairing electrical systems for disadvantaged households, assisting in the construction of rural concrete roads, and organizing free martial arts classes for children.
For Quyet, the greatest value of volunteer work lies not in the completed projects, but in the feeling of contributing to helping the community. "When I see the lights come on in the houses, the roads are completed, or hear the laughter of the children during their martial arts training, I feel like I've done something useful," Quyet shared.

At the age of twenty, these achievements not only acknowledge individual effort but also demonstrate a new approach among young people: learning combined with practice, skills linked to real-world experience, and social responsibility.
In an era of rapidly changing science and technology, professional skills are no longer measured solely by labor skills, but also by the ability to learn, innovate, and adapt. From production lines to technical classrooms, young people like Nguyen Thi Ha and Phan Van Quyet are affirming the value of creative labor, contributing to keeping the flame of their profession alive with their own hands and intellect.
