Having experienced many elections throughout his life, at the age of 83, Mr. Lam Phu, residing in An Tho hamlet, Go Quao commune, still shows special interest and emotion in each election. For voters who have reached an age rarely seen before, like Mr. Phu, each election is not only a right and a duty, but also a vivid historical film of the country's development. With a gentle smile, Mr. Phu shared: "I've been voting since I was a young man. For over 60 years now, I haven't missed a single election. Every time I hold the ballot in my hand, the feeling of excitement and pride remains as strong as the first day."

Regarding this election, Mr. Phu highly appreciated the preparation work, especially the consultation and nomination process, which was conducted openly, democratically, and in accordance with regulations. According to him, the Fatherland Front organized conferences for the people to participate in selecting and nominating candidates with sufficient moral character and responsibility. “I am pleased that many of the candidates nominated this time are qualified and dedicated, including young and responsible individuals. I am confident that they will be capable of shouldering the important responsibilities entrusted to them by the people,” Mr. Phu said.

Not only Mr. Phu, but many residents with experience participating in elections multiple times in An Tho hamlet have expressed their hope that this election for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels will select outstanding representatives with moral character and competence, who truly represent the will and aspirations of the people. Voters believe that the elected representatives will listen to and promptly reflect the thoughts and aspirations of the people; pay more attention to social welfare, create sustainable livelihoods, invest in infrastructure, and safeguard the sovereignty of the sea, islands, and border areas.

Along with other localities in the province, An Tho hamlet is meticulously preparing for the upcoming election day. Tasks such as posting voter lists and candidate lists, intensifying propaganda efforts, and ensuring security and order are being implemented seriously, strictly, and on schedule, creating conditions for the election day to take place safely, democratically, and in accordance with the law.

Six times casting his ballot, Mr. Danh Chau (42 years old), residing in Hoa Thanh hamlet, Dinh Hoa commune, has placed his trust and hope in a team of representatives with sufficient virtue and talent to contribute to building a breakthrough for his homeland and country in the new era. According to Mr. Chau, the election of representatives to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels is a political event of special significance, demonstrating the people's right to self-governance. Each ballot is not only a personal choice but also a voice contributing to shaping the future development of the locality and the country.

Aware of this, Mr. Chau carefully studied the biographies of the candidates to select those with competence, talent, and virtue, who are bold, decisive, and responsible to the people, to represent them. Mr. Chau shared: “I hope that after being elected, the delegates will not forget their promises, will stay close to the lives of the people, will regularly listen to their thoughts and aspirations, will possess political acumen, and will dare to speak frankly in the parliament to resolve the ‘bottlenecks’ in socio -economic development at the grassroots and national levels.”

These comments show that voters are not only concerned about their right to vote, but also place high expectations on the quality of their representatives. The criteria of having both virtue and talent are mentioned repeatedly, reflecting the desire for a team of representatives with strong political convictions, good moral character, practical abilities, and a spirit of service to the people.

In Hoa Thanh hamlet, Dinh Hoa commune, the atmosphere is bustling these days, with red flags bearing yellow stars fluttering everywhere. People are eagerly awaiting election day to exercise their rights and civic duties. Ms. Le Thuy An, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of the Front Committee of Hoa Thanh hamlet, said: "We are intensifying propaganda to inform the people about the significance of the election, and at the same time, organizing cleaning and beautifying the residential area to create a clean and presentable appearance before this big event."

With over 60% of its population being Khmer people, the hamlet receives attention and care from the local government, leading to a steady improvement in the lives of its residents. Thanks to effective communication efforts, the ethnic minority people in Hoa Thanh hamlet are interested in and have high expectations for this election. Many residents have urged elected representatives to always put the people first; to propose policies based on addressing practical difficulties, to listen attentively to pressing issues at the grassroots level; and to develop concrete and feasible action programs.

Election day is fast approaching. Along every road in the countryside, faith and hope are still fully embodied in each ballot. It is a citizen's right, a responsibility, and a shared aspiration to build a more prosperous homeland, a stronger nation, and a happier and more comfortable life for the people.
