With love for the profession, responsibility to the Party and the People, and sharp writing, the members of the Ha Tinh Journalists Association have made tireless efforts, achieving many high results at the national press awards and awards of ministries, departments and branches nationwide.

Journalist Pham Thi Anh Hoai (Ha Tinh Newspaper) - C prize National Press Award: Extensive research and study to have a new way of telling about cultural topics.

The work "Multiplying cultural "soft power", arousing the aspirations of Ha Tinh people" was "conceived" by the group of authors after the success of the National Cultural Conference and carried out before the Provincial Cultural Conference in 2022. This is a series of reports exploring the cultural depth and breadth of the people, the land of Hong Mountain - La River, and the achievements under the leadership of the Party through the periods.

Although the topic is not new, to have a new way of telling it requires a lot of effort and intelligence. In addition to painstakingly researching documents on culture, on the Party's guidelines and policies, we also met with cultural researchers, professors, doctors, and leading experts in and outside the province, asking for their opinions and at the same time talking and creating materials for the article. Fortunately, everyone we "knocked on the door" was enthusiastic in supporting us. Thanks to that, from the initial confusion, we found a direction for the work.

With 5 parts - 5 specific topics, the work delves into analyzing the cultural layers of Ha Tinh homeland. From there, it highlights the role of the Party in inspiring aspirations, promoting cultural values, overcoming limitations and obstacles, helping generations of Ha Tinh people create different values in the historical periods of the country.

With rich data sources, analyzed and commented by many researchers, the work has contributed to affirming: The Party Committee and People of Ha Tinh have always taken "culture to light the way for the nation", considering culture as the goal and driving force of development, developing culture for the perfection of human personality and building people to develop culture, thereby multiplying the great and sustainable "soft power".

The work has been honored to receive many major awards: A Prize in the 2022 Ha Tinh Provincial Party Building Journalism Award; A Prize in the 2022 Ha Tinh Provincial Tran Phu Journalism Award and especially the C Prize in the 2022 National Journalism Award. That is an honor, pride, and motivation for us to continue to strive even harder in the arduous journey of journalism.

Party building is a “challenging” topic for journalists. Journalistic language has its initial difficulties in reconciling with the language in the field of Party building, so it is difficult to develop topics and easy to get confused when using writing style.

Therefore, the requirement for the writer is to identify a problem that is correct but good, accurate in principle, accurate in every word but interesting and easy for readers to access. These are requirements that each author answers with an answer.

Along with solving those problems, during the working process, I always pay attention to practicality, whether the problem I am developing will be of interest to readers? The good thing about any topic is the same, but for the topic of Party building to attract attention, first of all, the writer must choose what the public needs and the answer is in the policies of the Party and the State. The solution here is to apply the policies of the Party to the problem that the public is interested in, from here, many clicks will come to the article.

I have closely followed that practicality and have produced a number of works that have won 2 national press awards, ministerial, sectoral and provincial awards. In 2019, I was awarded the National Press Award for the work "Cadres, civil servants, and non-professional workers at the commune level" consisting of 4 parts. At that time, the whole country was focusing on implementing the Central Resolution 6 and Central Resolution 7 (term XII), including the issue of reforming salary policy. I have noticed the inadequacies in policies for cadres, civil servants and non-professional workers at the commune level, leading to conflicting public opinions. From there, I have applied the viewpoints and policies into practice and produced the work. Or in 2022, when the whole country was very interested in preventing corruption and negativity led by the Party, I immediately produced the political work "Eliminating distorted manifestations in the perception of the fight against corruption and negativity" (2 installments) and was awarded the Press Prize for Protecting Ideological Foundation organized by the People's Army Newspaper in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank and the B prize of the Tran Phu Press Award.

Journalist Bui Tien (Bao Ve Phap Luat Newspaper) - Encouragement Prize of National Press Award: Determined to bring the case to light despite many difficulties.

Journalism, for me, is like fate. Because I am an “amateur” journalist, when I moved from a professional in the prosecution industry to Bao Ve Phap Luat Newspaper. My love for the profession led me to travel and write. I have had initial successes in 12 years of professional journalism with many national, ministerial, sectoral and local press awards.

This year, the series of articles "Magic in purchasing teaching and learning equipment in Ha Tinh" was awarded the A prize by the Tran Phu Press Award Council. This is a great honor and happiness for me as well as for the reporters residing in Ha Tinh. This series of articles also won the Encouragement Prize of the 2022 National Press Award.

In fact, when I got the information and started to verify and learn about an issue that was "hot" in my own homeland, I thought a lot. From accessing information and documents to meeting relevant parties to verify and confirm the information... was a difficult process. Or rather, "wherever I went, I was blocked". At that time, the province had also directed the Provincial Inspectorate to get involved but it had not ended and had not yet reached a conclusion. But I still decided to do it, because I thought that the matter would eventually come to light, when in recent years my province has been working very hard on similar cases, bringing to light many cases with signs of corruption and waste in the use of budget funds, bidding for equipment...

Submitting the article series, I chose 5 main articles according to the regulations, but the series had more articles, dissecting and reflecting clearly from the information until the case was concluded, inspected, and investigated. And the A prize of Tran Phu Journalism Award is a worthy recognition for this effort.

Journalist Phan Thi Minh Giang (Ha Tinh Radio and Television Station) - National "Golden Hammer and Sickle" Encouragement Award: Contributing to Party building work.

The radio report "Finding a location for the grassroots Party Committee office" was produced by the group of reporters Tien Thanh - Minh Giang - Dao Hoa - Minh Chien (Ha Tinh Radio and Television Station).

We started with the very real story of the staff and assistants for the grassroots party committees in many localities. Due to the lack of staffing, they had to accept being part-time civil servants or non-professional positions. Hard work, low income and little opportunity to strive and grow... are the reasons why many people do not have the motivation to strive and pursue their career long-term.

The report also analyzed in depth the shortcomings in the arrangement of Party Committee office positions. Although local Party Committees have repeatedly proposed to the Central Government to resolve this issue soon, for decades, this situation has remained stagnant, causing many difficulties and disruptions in the arrangement and assignment of cadres, especially the position of Party Committee office cadres. The report also recommended that relevant agencies provide an official establishment for this position. It is necessary to have a solid position and a stable income like other positions, so that Party Committee office cadres can truly feel secure, stay long-term, and best perform their duties.

The work won the provincial C prize and the Encouragement prize of the National Press Award on Party building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award). The group of authors is extremely honored and proud, because not only has the Organizing Committee evaluated and recognized our creative, serious and responsible work process, but through the work, we have partly contributed our voice to build a worthy position for the grassroots Party Committee office in particular and contributed to the good implementation of Party building work in general.

Journalist Linh Thuy (Ha Tinh Radio and Television Station) - Silver Medal at the 15th National Radio Festival : Sharing and sympathizing with many lives and many destinies.

During a field trip, I happened to hear about the strange fate of a couple. The wife was sold to China to be a foreign wife, wandering for nearly 20 years, her life seemed to be buried in a foreign land, but fate let her meet a man who took a risk to bring her back to his homeland and took her in as his wife without caring about the past. The work "Waves of Life" is a story about the girl's fate and that somewhat strange relationship.

When doing such a psychological reportage, the hardest thing is to get them to open up and share. Therefore, I try to approach the characters many times, build trust and affection so that they see that I really want to share their stories in a humane way. And then, the whispers and confidences, which are also ways to exploit information for writing articles, are sincerely and simply expressed by the people involved. Then the knots, the climaxes, the tears, the sorrows and their efforts to overcome adversity are realistically recreated, which is the key to the success of the work "Waves of Life" - the work that won the Silver Medal at the 15th National Radio Festival. In addition to the efforts of the entire team from the voice to the sound technique, I have to thank my characters when they really inspired me during the process of working.

I realized that the more I travel and experience, the more interesting the topics will be, as long as the journalist shares and sympathizes with many lives and many fates to listen and feel. The sad story of the couple in the work "Waves of Life" leaves many lingering thoughts about the fate of women, about the problem of human trafficking, but also conveys a message of love and the will to live for the author and the listener.
